The chapter resumes with Han-rim crouched beside the frightened little girl while the pastor stands behind them. The girl has accidentally called Han-rim “Mister Police.”
The pastor hesitates, then smiles smoothly.
HAHA… WELL, ABOUT THAT…
TRUTH IS, THE POLICE PAID US A VISIT ONCE.

Ju-hee narrates that outside inspections are rare and superficial.

As she walks toward the vehicle, Han-rim thinks through the legal problem.

But she has not abandoned the case.

She worries about warning the victims or gaining access again.

Ju-hee steps forward and grabs Han-rim before she can leave.
Her internal resolve appears first:

Then she shouts so that Han-rim, the pastor, the children, and the adult believers can all hear.

A flashback shows children and adults doing hard agricultural labor.
WORKING THE ENTIRE DAY!

Han-rim asks him directly:

The pastor smiles with controlled disappointment.
THIS IS QUITE UNFORTUNATE…
He approaches Ju-hee and reframes her testimony as adolescent instability.
SAINT JU HEE IS GOING THROUGH PUBERTY RIGHT NOW, SO SHE IS QUITE UNSTABLE.

He puts both hands on her shoulders.

Ju-hee is crying and terrified, but she no longer retreats.

Ju-hee shoves away from him.

She points directly at the pastor.

The pastor adjusts his glasses and gives an incredulous laugh.
HAHA… ME? THE DEVIL?
His expression snaps into rage.

He slaps Ju-hee across the face, then strikes her again and again.
SAY THAT AGAIN!
DEVIL…? DEVIL?!!!
YOU DARE CALL ME, THE LORD’S APOSTLE, A DEVIL?!
He raises both hands over his head to deliver another blow.
YOU DENSE FUCKER!

A massive impact interrupts him. Blood bursts from his nose and mouth as Han-rim drives a punch into his face. She stands protectively in front of Ju-hee.
HOW DARE YOU…? HOW DARE YOU?!
Han-rim answers:
YEAH, HOW DARE YOU HIT A STUDENT…
IN FRONT OF THE AGENCY?
The pastor lands hard on the grass.

The pastor screams to the believers:
IT’S A HOLY WAR!!!
Men pour from the buildings carrying sticks, poles, tools, and makeshift weapons.
THE DEVIL HAS ARRIVED TO CORRUPT US ALL!
The crowd gathers around Han-rim, Ju-hee, and the fallen pastor.
LOOK CLOSELY, THAT IS A WITCH!
THE RED WITCH WHO HAS COME TO CORRUPT US ALL!
Han-rim covers her mouth and laughs.
PFFT! WITCH?
KYAHAHAHAHA!
The cultists are confused and offended.
A WITCH? A WITCH YOU SAY?! KYAHAHAHA…!
THE WITCH DARES TO LAUGH…?
Several men rush her with hammers and clubs. Han-rim strikes two attackers in the face almost simultaneously, sending blood across the panel.
WOW~ I DIDN’T THINK I’D HEAR THAT IN KOREA TOO.
She remembers her previous field work, where enemies had given her a supernatural nickname.

She takes two metal hammers from the attackers and holds one in each hand.

A monstrous witch-like silhouette rises behind her.

A footnote reads:

The chapter ends with Han-rim smiling toward the armed crowd, no longer trying to leave quietly.

Chapter continuity summary¶
Chapter 105 confirms that the alternative school is a carefully rehearsed fraud. The children are beaten into performing happiness, trained to imitate classroom behavior, and used to manipulate police and journalists. Han-rim notices the inconsistencies, but Ju-hee’s decision to testify converts suspicion into actionable evidence.
Ju-hee’s accusation also widens the case from educational neglect and forced labor to sexual abuse. When the pastor attacks her in front of the Teachers’ Rights Agency, Han-rim intervenes immediately. The cult answers with a manufactured “holy war,” and Han-rim accepts their language on her own terms: the “Red Witch” is revealed as the field operative once called Baba Yaga.
