Content note¶
The chapter contains organized crime, loan-sharking, beatings, threats against a debtor’s daughter, interrogation, and a bloody reunion between former schoolmates.
Images 001–004 — Hanrim arrives just in time¶
Hanrim rushes into the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency office, breathing hard and checking the time.
MADE IT JUST IN TIME!
Na Hwa-jin is already seated and looks toward her. Hanrim explains that a traffic accident nearly made her late. She then notices an absence:
WHAT’S THIS?! GU SERA HASN’T ARRIVED YET?!
Daniel Hyun, working quietly at a laptop, says he has not seen Sera. Hanrim complains that Sera has recently developed a habit of arriving at the last possible moment.
A NEW EMPLOYEE SHOULD COME AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EARLY!
Na points out that the traffic accident may have delayed her as well, although Hanrim argues that Sera should at least have contacted them. The comparison with Daniel—who reliably arrives early and begins work without being prompted—makes Hanrim even more irritated.
At the water cooler, Hanrim internally praises Daniel’s professionalism. She then opens or peers into a side room and sprays water in shock.
Images 005–009 — Sera slept beside the captured gangster¶
Sera and the heavily tattooed high-school dropout Hee Chang are asleep on the floor of the pantry or office side room. Their hands are locked together so he cannot escape.
Hanrim’s face reddens with outrage:
WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT WORK?!
HEY, GU SERA!!!!!
The series title card follows.
Hee Chang is soon made to kneel while the agency team surrounds him. Na summarizes the situation with amused disbelief:
SO… THIS TATTOOED BOY IS AN UNDERAGE GANGSTER~
Sera explains that Hee Chang refused to reveal the organization, so she dragged him onto the last train to Sejong. Because she feared he would run while she slept, she held his hand all night.
Hanrim suspects Sera is hiding how brutally she actually subdued him. Sera dismisses the accusation.
Hee Chang, meanwhile, reconstructs the previous night. Sera told him to summon the gang’s older members, but after being beaten by a girl he intended to disappear rather than face the humiliation. She struck him again, and everything after that became a blank. Only now does he realize she is a TRPA officer.
SO, THAT GIRL WAS FROM THE TRPA? FUCK! WHAT NOW? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Images 010–016 — Hee Chang chooses “loyalty”¶
Na questions him directly:
HEY, ARE YOU REALLY A GANGSTER?
WHO’S YOUR BOSS?
HOW MANY MEMBERS ARE IN YOUR ORGANIZATION?
ARE THERE ANY OTHER UNDERAGE MEMBERS BESIDES YOU?
Hee Chang decides that the only dignity left to him is refusing to betray the organization.
TO HELL WITH YOU!
Hanrim steps closer, cracking or flexing her hands.
AH~ YOU DON’T WANT TO TALK, HUH?
Na warns:
I THINK THAT’S A BAD DECISION…
Hanrim adds:
YOU BETTER THINK AGAIN.
A comedic character card identifies her military background and specialty:
SPECIAL FORCES 7XX BABA YAGA
SPECIALTY: TORTURE AND INTERROGATION
Hee Chang forces a laugh:
PFFT! BULLSHIT~ DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!
The next scene jumps to him talking freely. Whatever Hanrim did is not shown as a conventional beating; Daniel even remarks that the “torture” did not appear to hurt him at all, while Sera enthusiastically asks whether Hanrim can teach her the method.
Hee Chang begins:
AFTER GRADUATION, I OFFICIALLY BECAME A MEMBER OF THE ORGANIZATION…
Images 017–027 — The gang advertises itself online¶
Na asks again:
SO, WHO’S YOUR BOSS?
The team examines a public social-media account. The account openly shows a muscular, tattooed man drinking and celebrating with other gangsters. The page includes a boast such as:
LET’S GO, NATIONAL FEDERATION!
The profile has more than a thousand likes and visible comments. Sera reacts with disbelief:
WHAT’S THIS AGAIN?
WAIT, ARE THEY REALLY CRAZY?
THEY POST SOMETHING LIKE THIS ON A PUBLIC ACCOUNT?
She borrows Hanrim’s phone to inspect the account more closely.
SUNBAE-NIM, CAN I BORROW YOUR PHONE FOR A MINUTE?
Sera studies the boss’s face.
LET ME SEE… HE LOOKS KINDA FAMILIAR…
She turns toward Hee Chang and asks:
SO, WHERE’S YOUR HIDEOUT?
Hee Chang feigns confusion:
WHAT’S A HIDEOUT…?
Sera explains that she means an office, house, headquarters, or any place where they gather. Hee Chang insists:
WE DON’T HAVE SUCH A PLACE…
WE LIVE INDIVIDUALLY AND ONLY GATHER WHEN TOLD TO COME THROUGH TEXT MESSAGES…
Sera threatens to “teach” him again, but Hee Chang swears he is telling the truth.
Images 028–036 — A decentralized “MZ gangster” organization¶
Na considers the answer and says it may be true.
MAYBE HE’S TELLING THE TRUTH.
He explains that modern gangs—the so-called MZ gangsters, referring to younger millennial and Generation Z members—often operate differently from traditional groups.
DON’T GATHER IN ONE PLACE LIKE GANGSTERS IN THE PAST. THEY ARE CALLED POINT ORGANIZATIONS…
To understand the organization’s scale, the number of underage members, and its crimes, someone will have to infiltrate it.
Na initially looks toward Daniel:
DO YOU WANT TO TRY, HYUN?
Daniel agrees:
ALL RIGHT.
Before the plan is settled, Sera volunteers with a broad, mischievous smile:
LET ME DO IT.
Na had doubted the gang would accept her because she is a woman. Sera privately takes the remark as a challenge, thinking that the boss will not see her as a woman or legitimate recruit unless she confronts him herself.
Images 037–044 — The boss operates from a boxing gym¶
The story cuts to a boxing gym. A huge, blond-slicked-back, heavily tattooed man pounds a hanging heavy bag with explosive combinations. His punches deform the bag and make the surrounding men flinch.
An attendant eventually says:
HEY, THAT’S ENOUGH. TAKE HIM OUT~
The “bag” is revealed to be a badly beaten debtor in a white sleeveless shirt. The man has been used as a living target.
The gangster boss removes his gloves and looks down at him.
WHY DIDN’T YOU PAY IT ON TIME AND END UP LIKE THIS~?
The debtor asks through a swollen, blood-covered face:
SO HOW CAN I PAY IT OFF?
The boss answers casually:
YOU CAN’T PAY IT OFF? THEN DON’T.
Another man remarks that the dispute is over a small original amount. The debtor explains that the accumulated interest is already fifteen times the original loan.
Images 045–052 — Loan-sharking and threats against a child¶
The boss smiles and explains that collecting the interest is less entertaining than using the debtor as a human punching bag.
EVEN IF I COLLECT INTEREST FROM YOU, IT WON’T BE ENOUGH TO COVER THE COST OF SNACKS AND DRINKS TODAY, YOU KNOW?
IT’S MUCH MORE FUN TO BEAT A HUMAN PUNCHING BAG LIKE THIS~
He tells the debtor that he can simply return for another beating every due date.
YOU DON’T NEED TO PAY IT OFF AND JUST BECOME A PUNCHING BAG EVERY DUE DATE~
Then he escalates the threat:
BUT WHEN IT’S NO LONGER FUN, I’LL JUST SELL YOUR DAUGHTER TO AN ISLAND.
The debtor lunges up in outrage:
WHAT DID YOU SAY?! SELL WHO TO AN ISLAND?! ARE YOU EVEN HUMAN?!
The boss catches the man’s face in one hand and drives him back down.
LOOK AT WHAT THIS YOUNG BASTARD IS SAYING!
He explains his worldview while striking him again:
A LONG TIME AGO…
THERE WAS A BITCH WHO SAID THAT TO ME!
SHE SAID PEOPLE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY.
BUT I THINK MONEY DEFINES A PERSON, YOU KNOW?
THOSE WITHOUT MONEY ARE LIKE PIGS AND DOGS!
AND HOW DARE A PIG SPEAK RUDELY TO A HUMAN!
The attack continues with a heavy, blood-spattering impact.
Images 053–058 — The woman from his past¶
Later, the boss drinks expensive liquor in the rear seat of a luxury sedan. His driver asks:
BY THE WAY, BOSS, WHO SAID THAT?
WHAT KIND OF BITCH DARED TO SAY THAT TO THE BOSS?
The boss answers:
AH, THERE WAS ONE SUCH BITCH~…
The driver repeats the remembered line:
PEOPLE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY… YOU SAID A WOMAN SAID THAT TO YOU, RIGHT?
The boss dismisses her as:
A REALLY STUPID BITCH!
The sedan enters an underground parking garage. The boss notices a young woman standing directly in his reserved parking space.
WHO IS THAT GIRL…?
HOW DARE SHE STAND IN THE BOSS’S RESERVED PARKING SPOT?
Graffiti on the wall warns:
IF YOU PARK HERE I WILL BLOW YOUR HEAD OFF.
The woman is Sera, dressed in her purple varsity jacket with her hands in her pockets.
Images 059–64 — Sera and Seo Hyuntae reunite¶
The driver yells:
HEY, MOVE ASIDE, YOU BITCH!!
Sera only smiles and waves.
HEY, LONG TIME NO SEE.
NICE CAR AND APARTMENT…
The boss steps out, confused. Sera studies him openly:
TURNS OUT YOU’RE REALLY SUCCESSFUL LIKE THE KIDS SAY, HUH?
She identifies both their old connection and his name:
AMAZING~ GANGSAN HIGH 23RD BATCH,
SEO HYUNTAE.
Hyuntae tries to belittle her past:
UH, YEAH. YOU DROPPED OUT OF SCHOOL, RIGHT…?
Sera answers that if they attended the same cohort, she can still call herself part of the 23rd class. Before he can finish, she swings a bottle or heavy object into his face. Blood sprays across the parking garage.
Hyuntae grips his injured head and finally recognizes her.
DAMN, IT’S BEEN A LONG TIME,
GU SERA, YOU FUCKING BITCH!
Sera wipes blood from her own forehead and looks up with a cold, almost delighted smile.

Chapter-level continuity notes¶
Sera’s apparent irresponsibility conceals stubborn field work¶
Hanrim initially sees Sera asleep at work and assumes carelessness. The truth is that Sera spent the night transporting and physically securing an underage gangster who refused to cooperate.
The new gang structure is designed to resist ordinary raids¶
The members do not share a permanent headquarters. They are summoned by message and advertise an aspirational lifestyle online, allowing recruitment and intimidation without the fixed physical base associated with older organizations.
Underage recruits are used as disposable extensions¶
Hee Chang’s loyalty is largely performative. He has no access to the organization’s full structure and is summoned only when needed. His ignorance protects the senior members while making him vulnerable to arrest.
Seo Hyuntae’s criminal philosophy equates wealth with humanity¶
He explicitly treats debtors as animals, uses one as sporting equipment, and threatens to traffic the man’s daughter. His resentment toward the woman who told him people matter more than money reveals a longstanding ideological conflict.
Sera has a personal history with the boss¶
Her recognition of his social-media face, the reference to GANGSAN HIGH’s 23rd class, and Hyuntae’s immediate use of her full name establish that the infiltration is also a reunion. The woman from his memory is strongly implied to be Sera.
The cliffhanger reverses the intended undercover approach¶
Rather than quietly joining the organization through Hee Chang, Sera confronts the boss in his own parking garage and strikes first. The next chapter must reveal whether this is a reckless personal vendetta or a deliberate method of earning entry into a gang that respects violence.
