Content note¶
The chapter contains knives, severe adult-on-adult violence, school-gang intimidation, and a staged threat against a bullied student.
Images 001–024 — Na finishes the construction-site fight¶
Na Hwa-jin continues fighting the hired gangsters.
One man attempts to use a knife.
Na says the weapon confirms that the encounter is no longer discipline or a misunderstanding.
It is a back-alley attack by paid muscle.
He knocks the knife aside and injures the attacker’s arm.
The remaining men hesitate, then charge together.
Na defeats them without the careful restraint he uses against students.
Several are left unable to stand.
Images 025–041 — An apology belongs to the injured person¶
The gangsters beg Na to stop.
They say they understand and apologize.
Na asks whether their words are directed toward him or toward the students they intended to mutilate.
He explains that an offender does not decide when an apology is sufficient.
THE PERSON YOU HURT DECIDES WHEN YOU’VE APOLOGIZED ENOUGH.
Their fear of Na is not the same as understanding what they did to Hyeongju and Gwonhyeok.
He keeps the adults under control until they acknowledge the children and abandon the paid job.
Only then does he order them to leave.
Images 042–059 — Gwonhyeok sees another definition of strength¶
Gwonhyeok watches Na.
The inspector is stronger than everyone present, yet the lesson is not that Na deserves to rule.
Na uses strength to stop exploitation and then walks away.
Gwonhyeok compares this with the school hierarchy he built.
His own power required constant humiliation of weaker students.
Na’s authority does not depend on classmates chanting his name.
The contrast leaves Gwonhyeok unable to defend the life he has been leading.
Images 060–077 — The “execution” of Hyeongju¶
The following day, students gather Hyeongju for punishment.
They gag or restrain him and turn the confrontation into a spectacle.
Students chant:
KILL HIM!
An older delinquent says Hyeongju embarrassed the school hierarchy by interfering with Gwonhyeok’s punishment.
The group intends to restore order by publicly breaking the weakest person involved.
Hyeongju cannot meaningfully resist.
He expects that saving Gwonhyeok at the construction site has only created another reason for the school to torment him.
Images 078–094 — Gwonhyeok interrupts his own followers¶
Gwonhyeok arrives.
The students expect him to approve the execution.
Instead, he attacks or shoves the leaders organizing it.
He orders everyone to release Hyeongju.
The crowd cannot understand why the Great Khan would protect a student he previously treated as insignificant.
Gwonhyeok says Hyeongju is his friend.
ANYONE WHO LAYS A FINGER ON HIM ANSWERS TO ME.
The declaration still uses the language of his old hierarchy, but its direction has reversed.
He uses the reputation he created to protect the person whose courage exposed his weakness.
Images 095–107 — The beginning of change¶
Hyeongju is stunned.
Gwonhyeok does not offer a polished apology.
He is embarrassed, angry, and unsure how to explain what changed.
Still, the public protection ends the immediate threat.
The chapter closes with the school’s strongest delinquent standing beside the student he once helped isolate.
The friendship is not yet comfortable, but the hierarchy has cracked.

The gangsters’ surrender matters only when it is connected to the people they harmed.
Gwonhyeok’s first corrective act remains imperfect¶
He protects Hyeongju through the same reputation that once created the bullying, but the act opens a path away from domination.

The boy’s private moral decision at the construction site changes the public structure of the school.
