Images 001–003 — School service becomes another livestream¶
A vertical promotional image advertises:
TEACHERS’ RIGHTS AGENCY DIRECTION
On a bright morning, narration shows Hee-soo and So-rin beginning their disciplinary service before school.
THEY’RE NOW PICKING UP TRASH IN THE SCHOOL GARDEN AS PART OF THEIR PUNISHMENT, SERVING THE THIRD LEVEL OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION FROM THE SCHOOL VIOLENCE COMMITTEE.
Instead of reflecting, they livestream the task.
One classmate says:
THEY ALWAYS USED TO SMOKE HERE, AND NOW THEY’RE CLEANING IT THEMSELVES, KEKE.
YEAH, SHOULD’VE STOPPED LITTERING, HAHA.
The girls celebrate the viewer count:

Online comments remain hostile, but others cheer the girls’ defiance.
After their service ends, the scene cuts to a police station’s:
WOMEN’S AND JUVENILE AFFAIRS INVESTIGATION TEAM
Officers discuss the case.
One says the evidence does not clearly prove a one-sided attack:
BUT IT’S CLEARLY NOT AN ACT OF ASSAULT. IT WAS JUST SOMEONE IN THE BACK SHOVING HER FORWARD.
THE OFFICERS CAN DO NOTHING BUT LET OUT A SIGH AT THE ABSURDITY.
A detective challenges the girls:
DID YOU LOOK IT UP ONLINE? OR DID YOUR FRIENDS SAY THAT?
DO YOU THINK CLAIMING MUTUAL ASSAULT WITH SUCH FLIMSY EVIDENCE WILL SOLVE EVERYTHING?
Hee-soo shouts:
AH, SERIOUSLY! I ALREADY SAID IT WAS A MUTUAL ASSAULT!
DO YOU WANT ME TO SHOW YOU THE EVIDENCE AGAIN?!
The narration explains that the girls also face responsibility apart from school discipline, but their minor status limits what investigators can immediately impose.

Someone suggested Soo-hyun did not want to spend time with them because she looked down on Hee-soo as an “empty-headed bully.”
So-rin, afraid of losing Hee-soo’s attention, improvised an answer without thinking.
SO, WITHOUT THINKING…
JUST SAID IT WITHOUT MUCH THOUGHT…
She told Hee-soo that Soo-hyun had been insulting her behind her back.
The lie spread through the livestream and news.
So-rin panics:

Soo-hyun sits opposite Hee-soo and So-rin, visibly injured but upright.

So-rin raises one finger and says:
I NEVER HAD ANY EVIDENCE TO BEGIN WITH.
IT WAS ALL THIS UNNIE’S DELUSION!
The livestream comments erupt. Viewers ask how the accusation became so serious without proof.
Hee-soo’s face twists:
TH-THIS BITCH…
The flashback supplies the full truth.
Hee-soo had complained that Soo-hyun was drifting away.
She repeatedly asked:
DON’T YOU THINK SHE’S TALKING BEHIND MY BACK?! SHE MUST BE, RIGHT…?!
So-rin admits she agreed because the questioning was annoying:

So-rin’s lie began as social maintenance¶
She did not possess evidence or even a concrete rumor. She agreed with Hee-soo’s paranoia to keep the friendship stable and avoid becoming the next target.
Hee-soo’s identity depends on grievance¶
Even when commenters ask about the victim, she returns to the alleged insult against herself. The accusation gives moral cover to violence she already wanted to perform.
The institutions struggle with manipulated evidence¶
The school committee and police see fragments that can be presented as mutual assault. The girls understand that ambiguity, age, and public performance make immediate accountability difficult.
Na removes editing from the confrontation¶
The live discussion uses explicit rules: one speaker at a time, no violence, no profanity, direct evidence. This structure collapses the girls’ preferred strategy of shouting, staging, and clipping.
