Images 001–003 — Hee-soo attacks So-rin during the live confrontation¶
The chapter resumes at the school’s live three-way discussion. So-rin has just admitted that she never had evidence that Park Soo-hyun spoke behind Hee-soo’s back.
Hee-soo grabs So-rin by the hair and throat:
DIDN’T I JUST SAY THE RULES?
Na catches Hee-soo’s wrist before she can continue striking.
He says:
HAHA… SO THAT’S WHAT IT WAS…

Hee-soo screams at So-rin:

After Na separates them, Hee-soo finally bends toward Soo-hyun and says:

Her internal narration begins:

The flashback reveals that So-rin’s parents later divorced.

So-rin’s confession does not automatically produce remorse¶
She admits the original lie to escape Hee-soo’s anger, not because she has fully accepted the harm done to Soo-hyun. When sympathy messages arrive, she immediately builds a new story in which the agency and Hee-soo are responsible for everything.
Her childhood explains attention-seeking without excusing it¶
So-rin grew up amid domestic violence and parental abandonment. Uploading the family fight produced the first large wave of strangers who expressed concern for her. From that point onward, attention became associated with safety, validation, and belonging.
Soo-hyun values truth over theatrical punishment¶
She knows the apology is insincere. What allows her to sleep is the public correction of the false accusation, because the online judgment had become more painful than the original assault.
