Images 001–003 — A vacation complicated by students¶
Hanrim spends a rare vacation at the beach with her friend Yu Seoyeon.
The trip is meant to compensate for leave Hanrim previously missed while training the agency’s new recruits.
Seoyeon works as a substitute teacher and is exhausted by the unstable position, but the women initially try to enjoy the seaside setting.
Nearby, a group of older teenagers or university-age youths surround a female teacher in the water.
They laugh while forcing her under, treating her distress as entertainment.
The woman gasps and struggles to breathe.
The students describe the event as play between friends.
Hanrim notices the contradiction between the teacher’s fear and the children’s cheerful performance.
Images 004–006 — The hotel-room gathering crosses boundaries¶
Later, the group occupies a hotel or pension room with alcohol.
The female teacher protests that students should not be drinking and attempts to confiscate the bottles.
The youths complain that they spent money on the trip and that the teacher has no charisma or authority.
They speak as if a temporary teacher is a service worker whose role is to entertain them.
One student demands reimbursement or asks why they should listen after paying roughly thirty thousand won.
The woman repeatedly apologizes rather than asserting authority.
Her survival strategy is to keep everyone calm until the trip ends.
Images 007–009 — Hanrim and Seoyeon go out at night¶
Hanrim and Seoyeon walk through a crowded nightlife district.
Seoyeon comments on attractive strangers and lightly teases Hanrim about her boss.
Hanrim says the dark-haired man she knows is her superior and reacts defensively when Seoyeon calls him handsome.
The playful conversation is interrupted when a red-haired, tattooed young man approaches.
He is Lee Cheolyong, age twenty, from Seoul.
He and his companions claim they are on a university field trip or group outing.
Images 010–012 — Cheolyong provokes Hanrim¶
Cheolyong flirts aggressively with Hanrim and offers her alcohol.
She refuses.
He continues crowding her and treating the refusal as part of the game.
A bottle swings toward her.
Hanrim deflects or smashes it into his face, leaving him bloodied and stunned.
The confrontation reveals that the young man who intimidated the teacher is also willing to use force against an unfamiliar woman.
His friends prepare to intervene.
Images 013–015 — The teacher apologizes for the students¶
Yu Seoyeon arrives in alarm and calls them:
KIDS!
The young woman with glasses insists:
NO, NO! WE’RE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, BELIEVE US…!
She tells Hanrim:
MY STUDENTS MADE A MISTAKE, DIDN’T THEY?
I’LL APOLOGIZE ON THEIR BEHALF.
Hanrim is silent.
Memory panels show the same students forcing their teacher into the water.
THOSE KIDS FORCED HER INTO THE WATER…
I THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST MESSING AROUND WITH A FRIEND…
The victim’s screaming face contradicts that interpretation.
BUT SHE WAS THEIR TEACHER?
Hanrim asks:
WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!
Cheolyong’s group prepares to leave.
HURRY UP, LET’S GO!
The teacher says the mood is ruined and suggests going back to sleep.
The students walk away with the promise:

Hanrim apologizes to Seoyeon for ruining the outing, then notices the group heading toward a darker road.
Images 016–018 — Hanrim follows them¶
Seoyeon tells Hanrim not to go.
Hanrim asks where they are heading.
Cheolyong mocks her:
WHERE’S THIS MOSQUITO NOISE COMING FROM?!
I’M A 7TH-DEGREE BLACK BELT IN TAEKWONDO. WHACK!
He waves his hand theatrically and calls her:
MISS~
NO, SEON NOONA~
He asks what incident will make her call him today and leans into her personal space.
Hanrim finally understands that he expects the teacher to continue pretending nothing happened.
She tells him:
ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GOING TO ANXIOUSLY KEEP PRETENDING TO BE A TEACHER?
He swings at her.
Hanrim evades and drives a devastating strike into his face.
Blood explodes across the frame.
Cheolyong snarls:
YOU’RE JUST A TEMP, ANYWAY!
MIND YOUR BUSINESS AND TAKE IT EASY.
The line exposes the power structure behind the harassment: students believe a substitute cannot risk conflict.
Images 019–020 — “Vacation’s over”¶
Cheolyong collapses face-first onto the pavement.
His glasses shatter and blood spreads beneath him.
Hanrim stands over him in her blue vacation outfit, expression completely changed.
HAA~ SERIOUSLY…! WHAT AM I? DETECTIVE CONAN? JEEZ…
Then she orders:
GET UP!
VACATION’S OVER!
Seoyeon watches in shock while another woman complains she cannot see where her glasses went.
Hanrim prepares to turn an accidental encounter into an official investigation.
Chapter-level continuity notes¶
The teacher participates in her own silencing¶
She apologizes for the students because she believes conflict could cost her employment. That response protects the abusers and makes outsiders misread the violence as ordinary play.
“University student” is used as moral cover¶
The youths insist they are adults when challenged, yet rely on the teacher-student relationship when it benefits them and mock her lack of permanent status when she tries to exercise authority.
Hanrim’s vacation ends the moment the employment hierarchy becomes visible¶
She is not investigating because a friend was insulted. She recognizes a pattern in which temporary teachers are expected to absorb violence to preserve contracts.
