Content note

The chapter contains student-on-teacher assault, employment coercion, undercover investigation, and a deliberately violent tennis serve.

Images 001–003 — Hanrim identifies herself

Hanrim holds the bloodied Lee Cheolyong by his shirt.

She formally introduces herself:

FIELD SUPERVISOR FROM THE TEACHERS’ RIGHTS PROTECTION AGENCY,

LIM HANRIM.

Cheolyong’s eyes widen:

TRPA…?

Hanrim tells the teacher:

MISS, COME WITH US TOO…

I WANNA GET A CLEAR STATEMENT OF THE ASSAULT.

She orders the two accompanying students to follow as witnesses.

Yu Seoyeon hesitates and asks:

COULD YOU PLEASE TURN A BLIND EYE TO THE MATTER THIS TIME?

Hanrim looks back, surprised.

Images 004–006 — Seoyeon asks her to let it go

Seoyeon says:

WHAT CAN YOU DO IF THEY WON’T ACCEPT A HELPING HAND EVEN WHEN OFFERED?

THERE’S PEOPLE LIKE THAT WHO JUST WON’T ACCEPT SOMEONE’S GOODWILL—

Hanrim answers that the students are simply acting according to their own convenience.

Seoyeon says:

JUST FORGET ABOUT IT, UNNIE—

Then pleads directly:

IT’S A REQUEST!!

JUST ONCE… PLEASE JUST IGNORE IT THIS ONCE.

Hanrim refuses.

She states:

THIS IS AN EXTREMELY SERIOUS INFRINGEMENT OF TEACHERS’ RIGHTS.

AS A SUPERVISOR FROM THE TEACHERS’ RIGHTS PROTECTION AGENCY, I JUST CAN’T…

Seoyeon replies that Hanrim seems to be doing it for the children’s sake and says she can side with them if she wants.

Hanrim’s internal response is severe:

SUCH BLATANT VIOLATORS OF TEACHERS’ RIGHTS OUGHT TO BE GIVEN A PROPER LESSON…

DO SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS LIKE ME EVEN HAVE TEACHERS’ RIGHTS?

The question becomes the case’s central issue.

Images 007–009 — Hanrim decides the vacation is over

During the day, Hanrim and Seoyeon go shopping.

Seoyeon behaves as though the previous night should be forgotten. She opens the door of a clean clothing or accessory shop and excitedly suggests outfits.

Hanrim tries on a blue wig or accessory as Seoyeon encourages her to choose something suitable for a sticker-photo booth.

Hanrim thinks about a substitute teacher previously reported to the agency.

She concludes:

I GUESS VACATION’S OVER AFTER ALL!

The chapter shifts to an undercover plan.

Images 010–012 — Lee Cheolyong returns to school

Cheolyong walks toward school with his face heavily bandaged.

His friends laugh:

AYY, YOU’RE LUCKY~

AFTER GETTING CAUGHT BY THE TRPA, YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL THAT IT ONLY RESULTED IN THIS.

Cheolyong dismisses the humiliation:

BULLCRAP~

One friend jokes:

SHOULDN’T YOU BE THANKING MISS SEON? KEKE~

Cheolyong brags:

YOU THINK SHE WAS ON HER KNEES FOR ME?

IT WAS ALL~ FOR HER JOB!

As they enter, the principal or head teacher announces:

EVERYONE, ATTENTION!

THIS IS YOUR NEW SUBSTITUTE PE TEACHER.

A short-haired woman in a cardigan bows:

HELLO, MY NAME IS YOO SEOYEON.

She is Hanrim in disguise, borrowing her friend’s name.

Cheolyong passes without recognizing her.

He laughs that substitutes cannot be full teachers and are easy to control.

Images 013–015 — The undercover identity nearly slips

A permanent teacher named Lee Seoni is assigned to guide the new substitute.

She tells Hanrim that she will be responsible for the vacant second-year class and asks which school Hanrim previously worked at.

Hanrim answers that this is her first assignment.

Lee Seoni looks at her closely:

OH? YOUR VOICE… I’VE HEARD IT BEFORE…

HAVE WE MET BEFORE?

Hanrim briefly panics that she has been recognized, then denies it.

Her internal plan is simple: borrow Yu Seoyeon’s identity long enough to investigate how the school treats temporary teachers.

Lee Seoni warns her that the students may make fun of her appearance and that a permanent position might be better.

Images 016–018 — Hanrim announces the rules, then breaks the first one

The disguised Hanrim thinks:

FIRST RULE: NEVER REVEAL YOU’RE A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER.

Then she deliberately says to the class:

WELL, I’M A SUBSTITUTE, AND THIS IS MY FIRST ASSIGNMENT.

YOU GUYS ARE MY FIRST STUDENTS, SO LET’S GET ALONG. THAT’S RIGHT, KIDS~

The boys immediately grin.

Cheolyong and his friends try to leave for the snack bar.

Hanrim tells them:

WHERE ARE YOU GOING? SIT DOWN.

They mock her:

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE THOUGH? YOU’RE NOT EVEN A FULL-TIME TEACHER…

IF YOU WANNA ACT LIKE A TEACHER, STUDY FOR 10 YEARS AND GET YOUR DAMN LICENSE, KEKE~

Hanrim moves the class to the gym.

She announces a badminton or tennis exercise and asks everyone to pay attention.

Images 019–022 — The second rule is broken with a serve

Hanrim recalls the second survival rule:

SECOND RULE:

NO MATTER HOW THE KIDS REACT, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CAUSE ANY TROUBLE.

EVEN IF THAT HAPPENS, THERE’S NOTHING WE CAN DO.

AFTER ALL, WE’RE JUST SUBSTITUTES WHO CAN BE FIRED ANYTIME.

In the gym, she raises a racket.

A ball rockets across the room and smashes directly into Cheolyong’s face.

Blood erupts around his bandages.

He falls into equipment while his friends shout his name.

Cheolyong thinks:

HUH…? WHAT’S THIS FAMILIAR SHOCK!

Hanrim smiles.

She has blatantly broken both substitute-survival rules.

ALRIGHT~ LET’S SEE WHAT HAPPENS NOW, SHALL WE?

THAT’S WHAT I CALL A SERVE.

The chapter ends on her satisfied expression.

Chapter-level continuity notes

Seoyeon’s request is rooted in employment fear

She does not deny the assault. She believes reporting it will harm the temporary teacher more than the students.

Hanrim’s disguise tests the system directly

Rather than investigating only past testimony, she enters as the kind of worker the school considers disposable.

Revealing substitute status is bait

Hanrim gives the students information they normally use to identify safe targets.

The serve creates undeniable evidence

The strike is excessive and intentional, but it forces administrators to show whose violence they consider actionable: a substitute teacher’s single blow or the students’ continuing harassment.
