Images 001–003 — Wang accuses Na of abuse¶
After hearing how Na handled Hyunjong, Wang confronts him in a consultation room.
She says she did not know the man who restrained her son was the same person serving as substitute teacher.
She accuses him of nearly committing child abuse.
Na identifies himself formally as an inspector from the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency.
He says the agency’s duty includes punishing people who violate children’s rights, but its larger goal is restoring a school environment in which both students and teachers can function.
He refuses to conduct a shouting match during class and schedules the serious discussion for after school.
Images 004–006 — Na’s one-week assessment¶
Na reports what he observed over approximately one week.
Hyunjong is not presently able to participate safely in an ordinary classroom.
He has severe difficulty with:
- sustained attention,
- social interaction,
- emotional control,
- accepting limits,
- and stopping violent impulses.
Na says the behavior is already harming classmates and teachers. One day, an object or trap aimed at him may strike another child instead.
He is careful not to make a formal diagnosis, but says the child may need evaluation for ADHD, tic-related conditions, autism-spectrum traits, or another developmental or psychiatric issue.
His recommendation is immediate:
- temporarily stop ordinary school attendance,
- obtain child-psychiatric assessment,
- use medication if clinically indicated,
- and consider structured home or hospital education until the violence is controlled.
Images 007–009 — Wang turns symptoms into a genius myth¶
Wang rejects the assessment.
She argues that famous geniuses were also unruly or difficult. Names such as Mozart, Einstein, Churchill, and the founder of Apple are invoked as proof that ordinary behavior cannot measure exceptional children.
Na asks who invented that story and whether it came from her own imagination or someone selling reassurance.
Wang returns to bloodline.
She says Goryeo was the only Korean dynasty to use imperial titles and that Hyunjong inherited the Kaesong Wang family’s superior genes.
Na asks what ancestry has to do with a child attacking people.
Wang tells him he lacks the qualifications to judge her son.
Images 010–012 — Ministry connections are used as a medical argument¶
Wang threatens to use her network inside audit and education offices.
Even if the agency reports directly to the Minister, she says, she will not allow an inspector to abuse her child.
Na answers that a parent who knows a child is dangerous and refuses appropriate treatment may also be neglecting or abusing that child.
He gives her a deadline:
TAKE HIM TO A PROPER HOSPITAL TOMORROW.
The warning is not only about school discipline. He believes the household itself is becoming unsafe.
Images 013–015 — Wang’s behavior at home contradicts her public philosophy¶
At home, Wang forcefully washes Hyunjong’s hair or handles him while he continues gaming and resisting.
The gentle “crown prince” language disappears in private.
When he refuses, she strikes or scolds him and orders him to cooperate.
She tells herself that he is special and destined for greatness, yet treats him with anger when the daily work of caring for him becomes exhausting.
The contradiction shows that the permissive manual is not patience. It is an ideology she follows until its consequences become inconvenient.
Images 016–018 — Na follows the car¶
The next day, Wang drives Hyunjong away.
Na follows, expecting a hospital or psychiatric clinic.
The car passes ordinary medical facilities.
Instead, it arrives at:

Posters advertise claims such as:

The language promises both superiority and cure while rejecting clinical care.
Images 019–021 — The laboratory confirms Wang’s beliefs¶
Inside, a chief researcher meets Wang and Hyunjong.
He says the child’s violent act is not truly his fault. A teacher or classmate must have provoked a gifted mind.
Hyunjong is visually treated like a prince on a throne while adults arrange themselves around him.
The researcher says this is a critical period in which latent genius may awaken. Wang must trust him and never interrupt the process with ordinary discipline or medication.
The boy smiles because the institution has made every desire evidence of greatness.
Images 022–023 — The source of “Emperor’s DNA”¶
Na watches from outside or through the facility.
The chief researcher recognizes Hyunjong as the heir to “Emperor’s DNA.”
The phrase is not a private family myth after all. It came from the K-Genius program.
The chapter ends with Na realizing that Wang’s instructions were manufactured by an institution selling pseudoscientific certainty to desperate parents.
