Content note¶
The chapter discusses pseudoscientific developmental treatment, exploitation of families, medical misinformation, property destruction, and a coercive twenty-four-hour challenge involving a child.
Strip 001 — Scanlation credit¶
A full-width red-and-black Hive Scan credit banner identifies True Education Chapter 175 and lists the translation, proofreading, redrawing, and typesetting staff.
Strip 002 — Na visits the K-Genius director¶
Na Hwa-jin visits the elderly founder or director of the K-Genius program at his home.
The older man politely asks:
WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? ISN’T THIS HWANG…? YOU SHOULD’VE AT LEAST TOLD ME YOU WERE COMING.
A nervous man beside Na is dismissed and told to leave.
The director identifies himself as an inspector or prominent figure associated with the treatment program and boasts that the institution has worked with many children.
Na explains why he came. Deputy Director Wang’s son caused serious trouble at school; after investigation, the agency concluded that the “treatment” was false and damaging.
The director’s pleasant expression disappears:
CULT, YOU SAY…?
IT’S NOT EVEN WORTH MY TIME.
He asks:
WHO ARE YOU CALLING A CULT?

Strips 003–004 — Na presents a scientific warning¶
Na shows the director a written opinion from a neuroscience or psychiatric expert. The document warns that the K-Genius method lacks credible evidence and misuses scientific language.
Na says he found substantially similar claims in the instructional material compiled by the director’s laboratory.
He asks whether the program is simply taking copied concepts, wrapping them in right-brain terminology, and selling them to desperate parents.
The director laughs.
He says his books contain similar material because the principles are universal, not because the treatment is fraudulent. He insists the program is a support system rather than an ordinary school service.
The director claims:
THE SAME GOES FOR ALL CHILDREN.
He says every child has the potential to become a genius if the correct method is applied.
The “Emperor’s DNA” language, he says, was merely a way to encourage Wang and help her believe in her son’s potential. He heard the family belonged to the Kaesong Wang clan and used that detail conversationally.
Na answers that this is exactly how a cult or scam works: the program begins by telling every parent the child is uniquely gifted.
The director attacks psychiatry in return. He says psychiatrists only prescribe medication and then claim to solve everything.
He asks how doctors can predict a child’s future twenty or thirty years ahead.
The K-Genius method, he explains, is not yet fully proven but is designed to increase the chance of realizing hidden potential.
He presents a colorful brain model and claims the program separately stimulates six neurotransmitters or brain systems linked with personality development.
He admits he cannot name the exact neurotransmitters in a scientifically coherent way, but says the treatment works in the child’s own environment through diet, freedom, and right-brain activation.
Strip 005 — The director defends the worsening behavior¶
Na brings up Hyunjong directly.
Hyunjong has not become calmer, more functional, or more gifted. His violence has intensified.
The director says:
BUT HYUNJONG SEEMS FAR FROM BECOMING A GENIUS. HE JUST KEEPS ON WORSENING…
Then treats the worsening as part of the expected process.
This, he says, is what frustrates him. Parents do not follow the methodology precisely enough, yet they blame the treatment.
They fail to provide the correct environment and interfere with the child.
Na asks whether three or four months should have been enough to see results.
The director says he would not need that long himself. If Hyunjong lived with him and the method was properly applied, improvement would be visible in one or two weeks.
Na smiles.
He says he understands the director’s claim and will continue investigating the laboratory.
If K-Genius is proven fraudulent, the director will receive punishment.
The older man watches him leave with hatred.
Strips 006–007 — The director searches for a way to stop Na¶
Alone, the director complains that Na threatens him whenever he visits.
He searches the internet for Na Hwa-jin and the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency.
Posts and articles criticize Na’s past conduct, violence, controversial cases, and authority.
The director becomes excited when he finds material that might be used against him.
He calls someone identified as a leader or official, saying that if they can prevent Na from operating publicly, the investigation may collapse.
He promises to visit in person.
The scene then cuts to a hospital.
A staff member says Hyunjong has already been discharged. A man took him approximately two hours earlier.
A woman in glasses—likely Wang—reacts in shock:
DID MY HUSBAND TAKE HIM…?
The answer is no. The child has been removed by someone else.
Strips 008–009 — The director brings Hyunjong home¶
The K-Genius director drives with Hyunjong in the passenger seat.
He tells the boy they will buy coffee and enjoy themselves, and says he is taking Hyunjong because the child is the best possible proof of the program’s effectiveness.
They reach the director’s house at night.
The front door is unlocked or damaged.
Inside, the house has been wrecked:
- furniture overturned,
- drawers emptied,
- food scattered,
- walls damaged,
- a memorial photograph of the director’s wife shattered,
- and objects smashed across the floor.
The director is horrified.
WHAT THE HELL…?
He wonders whether a burglar broke in.
Then he sees Hyunjong running wildly through the rooms.
Strips 010–011 — Na has already occupied the house¶
The director catches Hyunjong and asks how the child got there first.
Hyunjong explains that his homeroom teacher brought him earlier and told him to stay for a while.
He says he expected something great and has simply been doing what he wanted.
The director demands that he come out and then hears another person in the house.
Na steps from the bathroom holding a roll of toilet paper.
The director asks who he is and who invited him.
Na answers with absurd calm.
He says Hyunjong becomes far more cooperative when the child’s “temperament” is respected and asks whether that is not exactly what the educational method recommends.
The director demands to know how Na entered.
Na says the door was locked, so he opened it. He jokes that the director should use physical keys instead of a digital lock and says he will compensate for the damage.
The director threatens to call the police.
Na asks whether he really wants to do that. A police report will allow the authorities to inspect the property, document the circumstances, and connect Hyunjong’s condition directly to the director’s claims.
The director insists this is an illegal break-in.
Na points out that the director himself removed Hyunjong from the hospital and brought a vulnerable child into a private experiment.
Strip 012 — A twenty-four-hour proof challenge¶
The director declares that the child will improve if he remains under the program long enough.
Na repeats the boast the man made earlier:
IF YOU TAKE CARE OF THE KID, THE KID WILL GET BETTER IN 1–2 WEEKS, NOT EVEN 3–4 MONTHS!
The director realizes Na has designed the entire situation around his claim.
Na raises a roll of toilet paper like a starting signal and says:
THE GAME IS SET. GO PROVE IT!
He announces the format:
24 HOURS! ONE-ON-ONE!
The chapter ends with the director enraged and Hyunjong sitting inside the destroyed home.
Chapter-level continuity notes¶
The chapter begins the missing confrontation after Chapter 174¶
Chapter 174 ended with Na telling Wang that he would find the K-Genius director a “companion.” Chapter 175 reveals that companion is Hyunjong himself.
The director uses an unfalsifiable theory¶
Improvement proves the program works. Worsening proves parents failed to follow it correctly. Delayed results prove the child needs more time.
“Emperor’s DNA” was manufactured sales language¶
The director admits he used Wang’s ancestry to encourage her. The supposed biological theory was tailored to the customer.
Na forces the provider to absorb the consequences¶
Teachers, classmates, and Wang previously carried the cost of Hyunjong’s unrestricted behavior. Na now places the child in the director’s home and demands that he demonstrate the method personally.
The house destruction acts as a compressed experiment¶
Within hours, the director confronts the reality hidden by elegant brain diagrams and motivational language.
