Scope¶

Strip 001 — Daniel stops the underpass ambush¶
The chapter resumes inside the underpass where Giryong’s kickboxing seniors have surrounded Sera.
Daniel enters the fight before the attackers can turn their ambush into evidence against her.
He intercepts two men at once, catching or controlling their heads and necks before driving them down. Another attacker swings from the side, but Daniel blocks without losing his balance.
One of the masked fighters shouts:
WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?! SHOWING UP OUT OF NOWHERE!!
Daniel does not answer with a threat. He begins identifying them.
He names Lee Sangguk, a local kickboxing welterweight amateur with a record of roughly six matches, three wins and three losses.
He then identifies Kim Dalyoung, a lightweight amateur with two recorded matches and two losses.
The accuracy alarms them. Daniel knows not merely that they train, but the divisions and records connected to their ambitions.
Strip 002 — A professional future is placed against one night’s violence¶
Daniel says both men appear to be working toward professional careers.
That makes the current situation more dangerous for them than they realize.
Helping a school bully ambush civilians, participating in an armed group attack, and being publicly identified by the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency could become permanent “dirty laundry.” Even if they avoid a severe criminal sentence, the scandal may follow every future match, gym contract, and licensing decision.
He asks whether the attack is worth becoming the obstacle that destroys their own careers.
Daniel offers a simple choice: if they truly do not care, the fight can continue.
The fighters immediately step back. They announce that trained athletes should not be attacking civilians and carry their injured companions away.
Their sudden moral realization is plainly self-preservation, but the immediate danger ends without Daniel needing to beat every person unconscious.
He then turns toward Giryong.

Strip 003 — Giryong tries to reclaim the victim role¶
Giryong asks who Daniel is.
Daniel introduces himself formally:
TEACHERS’ RIGHTS PROTECTION AGENCY, FIELD INSPECTOR.
MY NAME IS DANIEL HYUN.
Giryong recognizes the institution he previously contacted.
He immediately tries to reposition himself:
MISTER, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!
He claims he only wanted the unfair committee ruling corrected and says Jungtaek is still the true offender.
Daniel cuts him off:
ENOUGH. THE INVESTIGATION IS ALREADY OVER.
Daniel removes or adjusts the disguise he used at school, revealing his familiar silver hair and real appearance.
Giryong realizes that the recently assigned student-guidance teacher was also an undercover inspector.
Sera mocks his shock. She says Daniel never drops character and calls Giryong a pathetic drama performer for continuing the lie after the entire trap has collapsed.
Giryong then understands that “transfer student” Sera was also part of the agency.
Strip 004 — One week later: the administrative hearing¶
A caption moves the story forward:
ONE WEEK LATER
Yu Jungtaek’s challenge to the original school-violence ruling proceeds through an administrative hearing.
Kim Giryong gives a final argument.
He holds up his bandaged wrist and shouts:
I’M TELLING YOU! HE’S THE ONE WHO ASSAULTED ME!!
His strategy remains the same. He insists that he has nothing to lose and therefore continues presenting himself as the victim.
The agency submits the underpass recording.
The video contains Giryong’s own words about:
- reporting first,
- manufacturing a victim narrative,
- using injuries as evidence,
- extorting Jungtaek,
- and taking advantage of Jungtaek’s knife attack.
The room can now compare his calm written claim with his unguarded conduct.
Strip 005 — Giryong is forced to answer the same questions Jungtaek faced¶
Giryong argues that the video was manipulated.
He says his attack on Jungtaek was self-defense because Jungtaek tried to stab him.
The committee asks for evidence supporting that specific claim.
Giryong erupts:
WHY DO I HAVE TO PROVE IT WHEN I’M THE VICTIM?!
The question is almost identical to the frustration Jungtaek expressed when the school demanded proof of years of secret bullying.
Giryong is now trapped inside the procedural logic he used as a weapon.
His assertions are no longer accepted automatically because the direct recording contradicts his credibility.
The hearing finds that he bullied Jungtaek, extorted money and valuables, and knowingly filed a false counter-report.
The original “mutual assault” conclusion is overturned.
Giryong receives a Level 7 disciplinary action: expulsion.
Strip 006 — Jungtaek calls it “breaking even”¶
Giryong walks through the school hallway carrying his belongings. He uses crutches or a brace because of the injuries from the underpass confrontation.
Jungtaek passes him.
Giryong asks bitterly:
HAPPY NOW?
He says Jungtaek suffered enough to want to kill him, while Giryong is merely receiving punishment that the system already considers appropriate.
Jungtaek smiles.
I AM JUST BREAKING EVEN~
I HAD A GREAT TIME!
The cheerful wording is unnerving. The agency has corrected the false ruling, but Jungtaek’s anger and knife attack have not disappeared simply because Giryong was exposed.
Strip 007 — The school punishment is not the end¶
Police officers arrive immediately.
They arrest Giryong for conduct beyond the school committee’s authority, including assault and extortion.
He protests that the disciplinary hearing was supposed to end the matter.
Sera and Daniel watch him being taken away.
Sera says he is still delusional. If Giryong had admitted the truth and reflected before the evidence became overwhelming, he might have avoided expulsion or reduced the criminal consequences.
Instead, he repeatedly redefined every setback as another stage of “winning.”
Sera remarks that students can rationalize themselves into believing they have won even while every institution is closing around them.
She then reminds Daniel of their earlier argument over which boy was the real bully and demands lunch as her prize.
She wants black-bean noodles.
Daniel says they never formally made a bet, but agrees to buy lunch as recognition of her self-declared “mental victory.”
Strip 008 — The agency’s car is vandalized¶
The team returns to the agency vehicle.
The windshield has been shattered.
The hood and sides are covered with hostile spray paint, including a message equivalent to:
DIE, TRPA
A rock lies near the car.
Daniel and Sera initially wonder whether Giryong retaliated, but he was taken directly from school and had no opportunity.
The vandalism was planned by someone else.
A masked young woman films the damaged vehicle from a distance.
She uploads the act as a completed challenge rather than a crime.
Strips 009–010 — #WRECKTRPA¶
A rapid sequence of social-media posts appears.
A masked participant throws a rock through an agency windshield.
Another records spray-painting the vehicle.
Captions include:

SUPPLIES: A BRICK OR A ROCK FROM THE STREET

Daniel protects the fighters’ future instead of merely defeating them¶
He uses their professional ambitions as leverage. The method ends the immediate violence and makes retreat feel safer than continued loyalty to Giryong.
Giryong experiences procedural reversal¶
The same demand for evidence that once trapped Jungtaek now exposes Giryong’s lies.
Correcting the ruling does not heal Jungtaek automatically¶
Jungtaek’s smile and “breaking even” line show that formal vindication cannot erase the psychological damage or his own serious knife attack.
