Strips 001–002 — Both agency vehicles are attacked¶
Na Hwa-jin and Hanrim inspect one of the agency’s red vehicles.
The windshield is broken. The hood is spray-painted with a death threat toward the TRPA, and the doors are covered in hostile writing.
Hanrim is especially furious about the paint:
THIS WILL BE HARD TO CLEAN OFF.
She calls the rest of the team.
TEAM LEADER! WE’RE IN BIG TROUBLE! SOMEONE SHATTERED THE FRONT WINDSHIELD OF OUR CAR!
The reply surprises her:
HUH, YOUR CAR TOO?!
A second agency vehicle was attacked at nearly the same time.
Nearby, masked young people laugh while secretly filming the inspectors’ reaction.
The series title card follows.
Strip 003 — Black-box footage confirms coordination¶
At the office, the team reviews vehicle-camera recordings.
One clip shows a masked woman throwing a rock through a windshield.
Another shows two masked males spray-painting a different car.
The attacks happened close enough together to indicate coordination.
The graffiti specifically identifies the TRPA, so accidental vandalism is impossible.
The team asks whether a former offender is retaliating. Na notes that agency work naturally creates enemies, but the public challenge format feels familiar.
Sera receives a message from Baek Junsu, who says he saw something online and asks whether the agency is safe.
She insults him affectionately as a jobless nuisance, then opens the link.
Strip 004 — The challenge includes sexualized material¶
The hashtag page contains photographs of the shattered vehicle, video of the graffiti, taunting captions, and a post titled approximately:
INSPECTOR IM HANLIM’S SECRET DAILY LIFE
The post uses a sexualized image of Hanrim in underwear or revealing casual clothes.
Additional images depict her changing clothes, posing in a bra or cropped clothing, and taking intimate-looking selfies.
Sera blushes and stares at the phone.
OHH~ BEAUTIFUL…
WH-WHAT THE HELL?!
She turns toward Hanrim:
I DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE INTO THIS…
Hanrim explodes:
WHAT KIND OF NONSENSE ARE YOU SPOUTING?! WANNA DIE?!
The team considers whether the images are deepfakes, manipulated composites, or private photographs stolen and altered.
Even if fabricated, they are designed to look plausibly personal and humiliate the inspector rather than criticize her official conduct.
Daniel recognizes the method:
THIS IS THE EXACT SAME METHOD THAT SHIM SO-RIN USED BEFORE.
The campaign blends real footage, staged acts, edited imagery, and public speculation until viewers no longer care which parts are authentic.
Strips 005–006 — Na refuses to chase every prank immediately¶
Daniel recalls how Shim So-rin used a “challenge” format to disguise attacks on an agency car.
Hanrim demands that the team abandon everything and catch the perpetrators at once.
Na says:
NO, LEAVE THEM FOR NOW.
So-rin remains inside juvenile protection, so she is not the current organizer.
If the vandalism is a one-time act, it may stop without the agency amplifying it.
If it continues, the team will have repeated opportunities to identify the pattern.
Na says a government institution should not appear flustered and foolish over a childish prank.
FOCUS ON OUR WORK FOR NOW.
The inspectors continue their scheduled duties.
Someone photographs Na, Daniel, and Hanrim leaving a public facility.
A masked trio watches the image.
KEKEKE, WITH THEIR CARS WRECKED, THEY’RE ALL ON FOOT NOW, HUH?
ALRIGHT~ WE SHOULD WRECK SOMETHING TODAY AS WELL.
Strip 007 — The online harassment escalates¶
A heavy object is dropped from above near one of the inspectors. It misses and shatters against the pavement.
The attackers upload the failed attempt under the challenge hashtag.
Another manipulated image presents Hanrim in a revealing sports uniform.
A post photographs Daniel from behind and draws a target over him with a mocking caption such as:
DUMBASS LOL
Hanrim becomes enraged by the continuing deepfakes.
Na observes that Sera is the only field inspector whose true identity has not been publicly revealed.
The campaign is targeting everyone else directly.
Sera complains that being ignored feels insulting.
Na tells her to travel separately and leave the office after a delay. Her undercover identity is still strategically valuable.
Sera thinks that she is proud to be the unknown one, yet also feels left out while every colleague becomes famous.
Strip 008 — A hidden camera is discovered inside the locker room¶
At the agency changing room, Sera searches for the school uniform required by her next undercover assignment.
She pulls out a yellow plaid outfit and complains:
WHAT’S WITH THIS YELLOW UNIFORM?!
WHO USES IT? SOME KINDERGARTEN?
She changes out of her jacket and looks around.
A smartphone has been positioned high inside the locker area with its camera facing her.
Sera’s eyes widen.
The image explains how the challenge obtained intimate-looking source material and why the organizers knew the team’s movements.
She kicks through the door or wall in fury.
WHO’S GOT A DEATH WISH?!
Strip 009 — The masked trio attacks her for a prize¶
Three masked youths enter with metal pipes or bats.
They are delighted that Sera discovered the camera dramatically.
OH, DID YOU RECORD IT?! DID YOU GET IT?!
WHOA, THIS IS AWESOME!
THE ANGLE! THE IMPACT! EVERYTHING IS EPIC!
They celebrate the “prize money.”
The hidden-camera violation and attack are both being treated as content.
Sera is struck while surrounded.
At first, she looks surprised rather than injured.
WOW~ THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I GOT HIT, AND I ACTUALLY FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT!
She realizes that she is finally a public target too.
AM I FAMOUS NOW TOO?!
The excitement lasts only a moment.
HOWEVER, IT ALSO PISSES ME OFF.
She says the attackers have been harassing her colleagues from a distance while she is the only inspector receiving the direct hit.
Then she begins fighting back.
Strip 010 — Sera defeats the trio¶
The three attackers swing together.
Sera slips through the pipes, drives one masked youth into the wall, and kicks another across the narrow room.
She says:
YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST COME AFTER ME LIKE THE SHARK FROM JAWS?!
The long-haired masked woman attempts to retreat.
Sera catches and strikes her.
The attackers fall across the locker-room floor.
Hanrim arrives and reveals that the team leader’s plan worked.
This was supposed to be a joint operation with Sera.
Na allowed the campaign to continue because direct attacks would force the anonymous participants to expose themselves.
HE SAID LET THEM TARGET US.
THAT WAY, THEY’LL UNDERESTIMATE US AND TRY TO CAUSE MORE DIRECT HARM.
Sera realizes she was bait without being told the full plan.
Strip 011 — The mask comes off¶
Hanrim crouches beside the unconscious long-haired attacker.
ALRIGHT, THEN~
LET’S TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOUR FACE!
She tears away the smiling white mask.
Sera and Hanrim stare down.
THAT’S…?
The chapter ends before explaining why the face is significant.
Chapter-level continuity notes¶
The campaign attacks credibility and privacy simultaneously¶
Vehicle damage makes the agency look weak, while sexualized manipulated images make individual inspectors objects of ridicule.
Sera’s hidden identity creates both protection and bait¶
The perpetrators cannot target her through public records, so they plant a camera inside the agency and attack her directly.
Na’s inaction is tactical¶
He is not dismissing the danger. He wants anonymous online participants to move from remote harassment into traceable physical crimes.
The attackers are motivated by money and performance¶

The revealed face does not immediately solve the case¶
