Scope¶

Content note¶

The chapter contains organized crime, online bounties, assaults on government officers and students, conspiracy to murder, and deliberate intimidation of abuse victims.

Strips 001–002 — The team identifies G.Y.’s intent¶

At the TRPA office, Sera still struggles to understand why G.Y. would deliberately provoke a government institution.

Hanrim says that, viewed as ordinary criminal strategy, the move resembles a gangster openly picking a fight with police.

G.Y. risks drawing national attention toward businesses it has only recently seized.

Na considers several motives:

resentment toward the agency,
immature criminal competition,
or a plan that requires the TRPA to react publicly.

Because the challenge was organized online through small, shifting groups, the agency cannot simply trace one fixed physical gang.

Na orders everyone to continue their current assignments while monitoring the campaign.

THAT DOESN’T MEAN WE’LL JUST SIT BACK AND DO NOTHING.

He remembers the young G.Y. leader’s earlier promise that they would meet again.

JUDGING BY THEIR ACTIONS, THEY WILL TRY TO MAKE CONTACT WITH US IN SOME FORM OR ANOTHER.

A transition shows Park Mari applying lipstick and preparing for the next stage.

Strips 003–004 — Two weeks earlier: G.Y. divides the national gang’s businesses¶

A caption moves backward:

2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT

The setting is the luxury villa previously used by the defeated National Organization.

It now serves as:

G.Y’S VILLA

The young organization is dividing the businesses it seized after the national gang’s collapse.

Kim Taeyang, identified as G.Y.’s chief of general affairs and rank three, stands before a map and distributes operating territory.

Various branch chiefs are assigned loan-related, gambling, collection, map, and regional businesses.

Visible captions identify figures such as:

Jung Wonsul, Busan branch chief,
Mo Yunwon, Seoul Mapo branch chief,

The meeting reveals that G.Y. is not merely a school gang. It has absorbed a national criminal network and divided it into specialized youth-led departments.

Strip 005 — Ji Yoon-kyul and the imprisoned boss’s order¶

A pale, dark-haired young man sits quietly during the meeting.

A caption identifies him:

G.Y. ADVISOR — JI YOON-KYUL, RANK 2

He dismisses the assembled branches after prioritizing the groups that have performed well.

The blue-haired action-squad leader, Seo Changho, complains. He expected the organization’s elites to gather for something more exciting than business distribution.

He raises the imprisoned boss’s standing order:

KILL THAT BASTARD!

THE ORDERS TO KILL NA HWAJIN FROM THE TRPA!

The boss has promised that whoever kills Na first may become G.Y.’s next leader.

Yoon-kyul refuses to make an immediate move.

FOR NOW, THERE ARE NO PLANS.

He tells everyone to stabilize the newly assigned businesses.

Changho calls that cowardice and says the boss’s order should be the highest priority.

Yoon-kyul answers that the boss is in prison and does not understand what kind of institution the TRPA is.

Strips 006–008 — Internal conflict over how to fight the state¶

Yoon-kyul emphasizes:

WE’RE TALKING ABOUT A STATE POWER INSTITUTION.

If G.Y. attacks carelessly, the expanding organization could be erased before it becomes secure.

Changho laughs. Older gangsters, police, wealthy heirs, and other powerful enemies were attacked openly under the former boss. In his view, organized crime should never bow because an opponent carries an official title.

Yoon-kyul privately admits that the imprisoned boss grew the group and made significant money.

Still, he preferred the old days when the organization possessed a rough attraction or “charm” rather than acting like a reckless cult around one person.

Changho leans close and accuses him of ignoring the boss’s orders because he wants to seize the organization himself.

A SCRAWNY PAPER DOLL…?

Yoon-kyul’s calm expression hardens.

Mari enters and tells Changho that everyone already understands the succession order.

She does not care who kills Na. Whoever succeeds can become boss.

Changho claims Na for himself and insults Mari for being physically weak.

Mari says she never intended to do the killing personally.

Strip 009 — Mari’s challenge strategy¶

Mari shows material inspired by an earlier viral offender—visually referencing the attention-seeking social-media cases the agency already handled.

RECENTLY, I GOT A BRILLIANT INSPIRATION FROM SOMEONE.

Her idea is to offer a bounty to strangers who attack the TRPA.

Instead of G.Y. members risking direct exposure, ordinary young people will create the violence.

In the present, Hanrim and Daniel assume the online challenge may end after the agency captures and punishes several participants.

Mari believes the opposite.

The early property damage and attacks are only bait.

THE WRECK TRPA CHALLENGE WON’T JUST END WITH SIMPLY TAKING OUT A FEW OF THOSE GUYS.

It can overload the agency, expose its officers, and make the public associate the TRPA with constant chaos.

Strips 010–011 — Na broadcasts the legal consequences back into the group¶

Several masked youths attempt to ambush Na.

The attack fails instantly.

Na holds one bloodied attacker upright while another lies beneath his shoe.

He speaks directly toward the recording phone:

LISTEN UP, YOU CLUELESS BRATS.

He asks whether the participants have considered what the challenge may do to the rest of their lives.

He lists possible consequences:

obstruction of official duties,
assault on a public official,
aggravated assault,
property crimes,
and permanent criminal records.

Hanrim appears in another recorded confrontation and warns:

IF THIS ONE LAST TIME… THERE WILL BE NO MERCY!

Sera also addresses participants after defeating them.

DO YOU THINK I’M A JOKE?!

The team intentionally allows the warnings to circulate inside the challenge chat.

The message is simple: ten million won will not repair a criminal record or destroyed future.

Only participants genuinely prepared to ruin their own lives should continue.

Mari watches the chat and is impressed by how aggressively the agency turns the attacks into counter-propaganda.

Members begin leaving in large numbers.

Strip 012 — The early challenge was bait for the real attack¶

Seo Changho calls Mari.

He laughs that half the children have already left the chat and says he warned her the simple bounty would fail.

Mari insults him for believing the first stage was the real plan.

She says Yoon-kyul—not the random children—is the larger internal problem, and that pushing Changho toward the crude attack helped expose positions inside G.Y.

Then she announces:

THE REAL WRECK THE TRPA CHALLENGE STARTS NOW.

The targets change.

A new wanted poster displays students the agency previously protected.

One is explicitly identified:

MANAN HIGH SCHOOL — KIM KYUNGMIN

A note points back to the first major agency case.

Masked youths beat Kyungmin until his face is covered in blood.

Many other former victims appear in a montage.

The reward message promises approximately ten million won to anyone who attacks them.

Mari explains:

THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO DESTROY SOMEONE…

YOU HAVE TO BREAK THEIR SPIRIT, RATHER THAN THEIR BODIES.

If students learn that anyone who reports to the TRPA will later be hunted, they will stop asking the agency for help.

Na sees the images on his phone and crushes or cracks the screen in rage.

NO ONE WILL EVER TURN TO TRPA FOR HELP AGAIN, RIGHT?

The final declaration is a promise to erase the agency from existence.

Chapter-level continuity notes¶

Its structure resembles an adult syndicate, but its intelligence operations use challenges, followers, disposable participants, and viral entertainment.

Yoon-kyul and Changho represent competing criminal strategies¶

Changho wants a direct heroic fight with Na. Yoon-kyul prioritizes survival, expansion, and control.
