Images 001–018 — Na and Hanrim discuss Yeri at the gym¶
Hanrim trains aggressively on a heavy bag.
Na brings her a drink and asks why she chose the gym for their meeting.
Hanrim says the school footage and testimony made her furious.
Yeri does not merely misbehave.
She uses other students, sympathetic adults, and institutional caution as tools.
Na warns that a person skilled at manipulating protection systems can be more dangerous than an openly violent delinquent.
He asks whether Hanrim can handle the case without losing sight of the investigation.
Hanrim says girls like Yeri do not frighten her.
They briefly spar.
Na reminds her that the agency exists because ordinary common sense can be exploited by people who understand its limits.
Images 019–038 — The two-week assumption fails¶
At school, Yeri and her friends discuss the TRPA placement.
They believe an inspector normally remains for only two weeks.
Once Hanrim leaves, the class can return to its former behavior.
Hanrim overhears or directly corrects them.
The assignment lasts as long as the school needs protection.
She may remain until graduation if necessary.
Yeri’s confidence briefly falters.
The agency is no longer a temporary interruption she can wait out.
Images 039–057 — Hanrim confiscates the coordination tool¶
The students attempt to coordinate through their phones.
Hanrim takes Yeri’s device.
Yeri lunges for it.
Hanrim uses a pointer or baton to knock her down and orders every student to place their phone in a collection box while she is present.
She says documented misconduct will be displayed on the class bulletin board.
The students complain that the rule violates their rights.
Hanrim answers that the phones are being used to organize collective harassment and obstruction of lessons.
The classroom must become teachable again before privileges return.
Images 058–076 — Yeri is made to kneel¶
During class, Yeri refuses to answer and slams her desk.
Hanrim orders her to show basic effort.
When Yeri continues disrupting the lesson, Hanrim makes her kneel with her hands raised.
Yeri invokes human rights and demands evidence that she personally created every disruption.
Hanrim says Yeri was previously given the benefit of the doubt.
Her current behavior supplies direct evidence.
Yeri tries to reframe discipline as arbitrary personal persecution.
Hanrim refuses the narrative.
Images 077–094 — One student’s behavior affects the group¶
Sunyoung adds a class rule.
If even one student deliberately destroys the lesson, the whole class will remain and complete corrective work.
The decision turns classmates against Yeri.
Students who once followed her because collective action carried no personal cost now experience the consequences.
Yeri is blocked during physical exercises, ordered to repeat tasks, and left exhausted.
She realizes the classmates’ loyalty depended on the power and entertainment she supplied.
Images 095–109 — The followers strike back¶
A girl who has suffered through the shared punishment finally slaps Yeri.
Other students blame Yeri for bringing the TRPA into the school and making every day miserable.
Yeri’s social position begins collapsing.
She does not respond through apology.
She reaches for a sharp object or cutter and slashes an intervening student, leaving the student’s face or arm injured.
The attack is also a signal.
Yeri tells the group to call an adult who will restore her protection.
Images 110–126 — The booster-club president arrives¶
Yeri’s mother or guardian arrives and is identified as the president of the school booster club.
She storms into the classroom and demands the red-haired teacher.
The woman sees her daughter bruised and claims Hanrim must be the culprit.
She says she raised Yeri without ever hitting her.
She boasts that she previously had a “bad apple” teacher dismissed.
Without asking what occurred, she strikes Hanrim with a cane or similar object.
IF YOU’RE A TEACHER, THEN TEACH! DON’T LAY A FINGER ON YOUR STUDENTS!
Hanrim immediately slaps or knocks her down.
The classroom freezes.
Images 127–138 — Status does not create permission¶
Staff members warn Hanrim that the woman is the booster-club president.
Hanrim asks whether that title gives her permission to assault teachers without knowing the facts.
The woman threatens to contact senior officials.
Hanrim tells her to call the Minister of Education directly.
THROW EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT AT ME.
She says influence used to conceal violence only makes the adult more pathetic.
Yeri watches her usual adult shield fail.
The chapter ends with her furious and increasingly isolated.
