Strips 001–002 — Seoyoung cannot explain why Yunju was targeted¶
In the rain, Yunju’s mother repeats the question she has carried for eight years:
WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO MY LITTLE YUNJU?
WHY THE HELL DID YOU HURT MY DAUGHTER?!
She holds the red container Seoyoung brought for the planned attack.
Seoyoung believes the mother may pour its contents onto her and desperately searches for an answer that will save her.
She considers kneeling, begging, or inventing a justification.
Then the truth surfaces:
I DON’T KNOW…
IT HAPPENED SO LONG AGO.
I DON’T EVEN REMEMBER WHY I DID IT…
The answer is horrifying precisely because Yunju’s death defined her mother’s entire life while the perpetrator cannot recall the original motive.
The confrontation becomes physical.

Strips 003–005 — Seoyoung awakens with severe burns¶
Seoyoung wakes in a hospital bed.

Daniel sits nearby.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE YOUR OWN ASSAULT COME BACK TO YOU?
He says the injury is the result of her own conduct.
NONE OF THIS WOULD’VE HAPPENED IF YOU HADN’T BROUGHT THOSE DANGEROUS CHEMICALS IN THE FIRST PLACE.
THIS IS YOUR OWN KARMA, SO CARRY IT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.
Seoyoung tears at equipment and demands an explanation.
Daniel calls her selfish to the end.
The wounds, rage, fear, and frustration she now experiences are exactly what she intended to force onto Haeran.
She believed she could hurt other people while remaining exempt from reciprocal harm.
Detectives enter the room.
They identify themselves and place her under emergency arrest for:
- instigating the assault on Jang Haeran,
- and attempted murder connected to the planned chemical attack.
The hospital has cleared her for transfer.
Seoyoung cries that everyone is being cruel.
Strip 006 — “It’s all in the past”¶
Seoyoung repeats the defense she has used throughout the arc:

She asks why people are going this far over something finished.
Daniel says that if she still refuses to learn, she should experience the consequences long enough for the lesson to become unavoidable.
The day after her arrest, Ok Foods begins collapsing.

- exploitation of subcontractors,
- and the CEO’s sexual misconduct.
The outrage expands into a nationwide boycott.

Strip 007 — Her father severs ties; the accomplices face consequences¶
Ok Youngjun holds a press conference and publicly severs ties with his daughter as a minimal effort to protect Ok Foods.
He neither hires a lawyer for her nor visits her.
At approximately the same time, the scanlation labels Lee Dabin as a civil servant receiving an indictment based on past school-bullying allegations. This conflicts with the earlier workplace identification of Dabin as a hairdresser and Yuni as the civil servant; the contradiction is preserved rather than silently corrected.
The accused woman protests to Daniel:

Both women thank Daniel deeply.
Daniel watches them and asks a difficult question:

DON’T YOU REGRET… WHAT YOU DID TO OK SEOYOUNG?
The question refers to the moment in the rain when Yunju’s mother had the opportunity to direct the chemical deliberately and to the broader temptation to turn Seoyoung’s punishment into personal vengeance.
