Strip 001 — The stakeout plan¶
A flashback shows Sera and Hanrim reviewing the three most severe reports Daniel sent from the regional backlog.
They divide two likely locations between them and agree to text immediately if either finds the impersonator.
Sera asks why someone would pretend to be the TRPA.
Hanrim lists several possibilities:
- attention,
- an impulse toward vigilante justice,
- stress relief,
- or obsessive admiration for the agency.
Some people become intensely fixated on public inspectors.
If the impersonator is a misguided fan, Hanrim hopes explanation and emotional support may stop the behavior.
If he attacks, resists, or runs, he is simply exploiting the TRPA’s name for selfish purposes.
SO DON’T SHOW HIM ANY MERCY THEN!
The story returns to the abandoned building as the fake officer swings at Sera.
Strip 002 — He refuses to believe Sera is real¶
Sera blocks the attack and says the vigilante will pay heavily for using the TRPA’s name.
The man responds that she is the impersonator.
Sera shows her official ID.
He calls it photoshopped.
The vigilante has memorized the publicly known TRPA roster:
- Na Hwa-jin,
- Lim Hanlim,
- and Daniel Hyun.
He has never heard of a small teenage-looking woman serving as an inspector.
Because Sera’s identity has remained protected for undercover assignments, her strongest operational advantage now makes her look counterfeit to the agency’s most obsessive fan.
He concludes that Sera and the bound bully are cooperating to steal his “prey.”
Strips 003–004 — The fanatic’s fighting style¶
The vigilante attacks with fast, unusual kicks.
Sera initially struggles to read the trajectories.
The movement is not only quick; the kicks change direction in ways she does not predict from his stance.
A heavy strike lands near her neck.
The man believes a direct hit should have stopped her movement.
Sera remains upright and adapts.
The exchange becomes more violent as the attacker uses the space, railings, and improvised weapons around the abandoned building.
He fights with the certainty that killing an impostor would defend the agency’s honor.
Strip 005 — The bound bully catches fire¶
Sera says that without her reflexes, the neck kick might have killed her.
She accuses the vigilante of attempted murder and notices that he is preparing to finish the restrained Seungcheol with a weapon.
The man uses an electrical device or similar tool against the bound student.
The attack ignites material around Seungcheol, setting him on fire.
The vigilante laughs while the victim screams.
Sera rushes to extinguish the flames.
PUT OUT THE FIRE!!
STOP LAUGHING AND HELP ME DAMMIT!!
The impersonator asks why she keeps demanding “limits.”
Strip 006 — The Second Company’s ideology¶
The vigilante argues that if the world understood limits, school violence would not be common.
He calls the official TRPA noble because it returns pain to offenders rather than relying only on light school punishments or juvenile-law protections.
But the agency has too few inspectors.
THEY CAN’T CLEAN UP ALL THESE FUCKING TRASHBAGS ACROSS THE NATION WITH JUST 3 INSPECTORS!
That is why, in his mind, a Second Company is necessary.
He expects the real agency to recognize him for taking over its neglected duties.
He cannot tolerate Sera because he believes an unqualified impostor is disgracing the TRPA name.
The contradiction is absolute: he claims to protect the agency while trying to kill one of its inspectors and burning a restrained student alive.
Strip 007 — Sera reads the kick and calls Hanrim¶
Sera begins recognizing the vigilante’s main technique as a relatively one-dimensional thrusting kick disguised through angle and timing.
She counters and lands a heavy strike.
At first, she had thought an additional person handling unresolved cases might be useful.
Now she accepts Hanrim’s judgment:
LETTING YOU GO ON LIKE THIS IS WAY TOO DANGEROUS!
She texts Hanrim:
SUNBAENIM, I’VE FOUND HIM.
THE EMPTY BUILDING ACROSS THE STATION.
IT’S A LANDMARK OF THIS REGION.
Hanrim receives the location and heads toward the building.
The wounded vigilante remains conscious.
Strip 008 — Hanrim finds Sera bloodied¶
Hanrim reaches the stairs.
I CAME BECAUSE SHE SAID TO HURRY.
She assumes Sera should be fine.
Inside, the vigilante has recovered and reversed the fight.
He holds Sera by the hair.
Her face, hair, and purple varsity jacket are covered in blood, and her body hangs weakly in his grip.
His thoughts remain focused on ideological purity:
THE LIKES OF YOU DOESN’T DESERVE TO USE THE NAME TRPA.
I CAN’T LET AN UNQUALIFIED PERSON LIKE YOU DISGRACE THE NAME OF THE TRPA!
ANYONE WHO IMPERSONATES THE TRPA MUST DIE FOR THAT CRIME…!
Hanrim sees the bloodied inspector.
GU SERA…?
The chapter ends with the obsessed impersonator still failing—or refusing—to understand that the person he nearly killed is a genuine member of the organization he worships.

She begins the case wondering whether the extra enforcement might help. The attempted killing proves that uncontrolled power cannot remain a useful supplement.
The cliffhanger challenges Hanrim personally¶
She arrives expecting Sera to have the situation controlled and instead finds her junior severely injured by someone claiming to protect the TRPA’s honor.
