Get Schooled — Chapter 208¶
Complete Detailed Panel-by-Panel Transcription¶
Scope¶
This transcription follows the 8 ordered long story strips embedded in the supplied Chapter 208 MHT, excluding its separate title/header image. Readable English dialogue, character labels, backstory narration, martial-arts terminology, and major actions are preserved where legible. Content note¶
The chapter contains severe bullying, burning with gasoline, permanent injury, vigilante violence, torture of a restrained student, and an unconscious inspector.
Strip 001 — Hanrim reaches the bloodied Sera¶
The chapter resumes at the abandoned building.
The self-proclaimed “Second Company” officer holds Gu Sera by the hair. Her face and purple varsity jacket are soaked with blood.
He declares that anyone impersonating the Teachers’ Rights Protection Agency disgraces its name and deserves death.
A powerful strike suddenly interrupts him.
The real red-haired inspector, Lim Hanrim, has arrived.
The young man looks at her in disbelief.
ARE YOU THE TRPA 2ND COMPANY?
Hanrim’s hair and official presence make the answer obvious.
THE REAL TRPA…?!
A character caption identifies the vigilante:
MY NAME IS SONG HANSOL.
He releases Sera and turns his attention fully toward Hanrim.
Strip 002 — Hansol’s childhood as a target¶
Hansol begins narrating his past.
He says he may have been targeted because his name sounded weak or feminine, or perhaps because he simply looked like someone who would not resist.
From elementary school through middle school, he was bullied constantly.
The cruelty escalated far beyond insults.
Several boys perform what they jokingly call a “Sponge experiment,” imitating a television science show. They pour gasoline around Hansol and discuss whether a cigarette lighter can ignite it.
One boy says:
THE AHJUSSI FROM THE SPONGE CHANNEL SAID THAT GASOLINE WON’T IGNITE WITH JUST A CIGARETTE LIGHTER!
They decide to test the claim on Hansol.
The fire initially spreads slowly, which makes the boys laugh.
Then Hansol’s clothing and skin catch.
He screams while the bullies stare in surprise at the human consequence of their “experiment.”
Strip 003 — Weakness becomes the explanation for everything¶
Hansol is hospitalized with serious burns.
Even after seeing his injuries, the people around him do not offer a satisfying explanation for why he was selected.
His father reduces the entire event to weakness.
IT ALL HAPPENED BECAUSE I WAS TOO WEAK.
Hansol accepts that conclusion.
He begins searching for a way to become someone no bully can treat as disposable.
He discovers:
GAKCHEOMDO
The chapter describes it as an old kicking martial art handed down from the late Joseon era, focused on striking and piercing with the toe rather than making broad curved kicks.
Hansol begins training under an eccentric master.
Strip 004 — A prodigy masters the forgotten art¶
The training is brutal.
Gakcheomdo demands repeated straight thrusts, precision, foot strength, balance, and the ability to drive force through a small point of contact.
Hansol’s movement improves at an extraordinary pace.
His instructor asks:
DID YOU REACH THIS LEVEL IN ONLY 2 YEARS?
IF I’M RIGHT, YOU’RE A ONCE-IN-A-CENTURY PRODIGY!
The master immediately adds that he himself is a “once-in-a-millennium” genius and says the two of them will revive the forgotten martial art.
Hansol initially assumes the man is only using exaggerated bravado to motivate a bullied child.
He soon discovers the praise was not entirely empty.
The boys who once appeared like monsters begin looking weak.
FROM THAT MOMENT ON, SOMETHING AWAKENED IN ME.
Strip 005 — Hansol becomes a punisher¶
After mastering enough of the technique, Hansol begins hunting notorious bullies.
He attacks them thoroughly and deliberately.
I MADE SURE THOSE SCUM WHO BULLIED THE WEAK COULD NEVER DO IT AGAIN.
In one case, he shatters a bully’s knees.
THAT BASTARD WON’T BE ABLE TO WALK PROPERLY TILL HE GRADUATES.
A relieved victim clasps Hansol’s hands and thanks him.
The gratitude becomes intoxicating.
Hansol then begins watching the official TRPA.
He sees a Ministry-affiliated agency publicly punishing school-violence offenders through methods more direct than ordinary school discipline.
THE FACT THAT A NATIONAL AGENCY IS DOING THE SAME THING AS ME GAVE ME CHILLS!
I’VE FINALLY FOUND MY CALLING!
He decides to become:
THE 2ND COMPANY OF THE TRPA.
Strip 006 — A handshake becomes an arrest¶
In the present, Hansol says he punished Seo Seungcheol, the student he had bound and tortured.
He expected the real TRPA to recognize that he was doing the same work.
WHAT DO YOU THINK…?
I’M DOING PRETTY WELL, AREN’T I?
Hanrim calmly offers to shake his hand.
Hansol eagerly agrees.
The moment their hands meet, a handcuff snaps around his wrist.
He recoils.
WAIT! WHY DID YOU SUDDENLY…?
Hanrim says there are three reasons.
Strip 007 — Hanrim’s three reasons¶
First¶
Sera was not impersonating the agency.
SHE’S ACTUALLY A TRPA INSPECTOR.
Hansol is shocked because Sera’s identity has never been publicly listed.
Second¶
Hansol is not qualified to punish school-violence perpetrators.
WHAT YOU’RE DOING IS VIGILANTE JUSTICE!
IN THIS COUNTRY, IT’S FLAT-OUT ILLEGAL AND A CRIME!
Third¶
By using the TRPA name for his private violence, he damaged the organization he claims to admire.
YOU’VE TARNISHED ITS NAME.
Hanrim then turns away from him.
She kneels beside Sera.
HEY, SERA! OPEN YOUR EYES!
Sera does not respond.
Hanrim says she needs to call an ambulance and begin the formal investigation.
Strip 008 — Hansol rejects the distinction¶
Hansol’s admiration collapses into fury.
He says he expected acknowledgment, not accusations of crime.
I DIDN’T JUST GO AROUND PUNISHING RANDOM PEOPLE! THEY WERE ALL TRASH!
He asks why it matters whether a country or an individual performs the punishment.
SHOULDN’T CLEANING UP TRASH BE PRAISED?
I’VE WORKED HARDER THAN ANYONE ELSE…
While Hanrim checks Sera, Hansol launches a sudden kick.
The blow catches Hanrim and knocks her down.
He says he is disappointed in the organization he worshipped.
JUST HOW THE HELL IS WHAT I DO ANY DIFFERENT FROM YOURS?
WE BOTH USE THE SAME METHODS! SO WHY IS IT ILLEGAL WHEN I DO IT, BUT JUSTICE WHEN YOU DO IT?
Hanrim raises her fists.
WHAT’S SO BAD ABOUT VIGILANTE JUSTICE ANYWAY?
The chapter ends with the real inspector preparing to answer through both words and combat.
Chapter-level continuity notes¶
Hansol’s ideology began with real victimization¶
His injuries and fear were genuine. The chapter shows how the desire never to be helpless again became permission to decide who deserves permanent injury.
Gratitude replaces accountability¶
Victims thanking Hansol convinces him that usefulness grants authority.
He models himself on the most visible part of the TRPA¶
He sees public corporal punishment but not the investigations, legal mandate, review, or responsibility attached to the agency.
Hanrim identifies three separate violations¶
Hansol attacked an actual inspector, exercised punishment without authority, and used the agency’s name to legitimize private violence.
The chapter’s central question is intentionally uncomfortable¶
The official TRPA also uses force. Hansol demands an explanation of why state-authorized violence is considered justice while his own is considered crime.
