Strip 001 — Hanrim accepts the challenge¶
Hansol repeats his question about vigilante justice.
If civilians and public officials both remove dangerous people, he asks, why is only one side criminal?
Hanrim tells him that he appears determined to cross that line.
She loosens or offers to remove the restraint so the answer cannot be dismissed as an unfair arrest.
Hansol says he does not need both hands free.
AS LONG AS MY FEET ARE FREE, THAT’S ALL I NEED!
He fires a straight kick from almost no preparation.
The toe drives forward like a spear.
Hanrim narrowly avoids the thrust.
Strip 002 — Gakcheomdo is recognized¶
Hansol continues attacking with unusually direct kicks.
The technique does not sweep in a visible arc. The leg shoots straight toward the target.
Hanrim recognizes the structure.
A STRAIGHT THRUST.
NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!
THIS IS DEFINITELY GAKCHEOMDO!
A note describes Gakcheomdo as a forgotten martial art using the toe specifically to pierce and attack opponents.
Even while restrained, Hansol pushes back a trained inspector through the speed and destructive force of the kicks.
Strip 003 — Lim Gwangcheon’s warning¶
Hanrim remembers her father, Lim Gwangcheon, demonstrating the same art when she was a child.
He called it one of the strongest martial arts in terms of speed, destructive force, and piercing power.
Young Hanrim asked to learn it.
Her father gave the training schedule:
- one thousand left-foot thrusts,
- one thousand right-foot thrusts,
- every morning,
- every evening,
- plus strength work to build leg power.
After five years, the student would only be considered a beginner.
Hanrim shouted:
ARE YOU INSANE?! WHO SPENDS FIVE YEARS ON A SINGLE MOVE?!
Her father said that reaction explained why the martial art faded into obscurity.
No sane person endures such monotonous training.
Therefore, if Hanrim ever met a person capable of using Gakcheomdo well, that person would be either someone trained from early childhood or a prodigy who learned at terrifying speed.
THAT BASTARD IS SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS!
In the present, Hansol appears to be the second type.
Strip 004 — Hanrim removes his preferred distance¶
Hansol’s technique is exceptional but narrow.
Hanrim realizes that his kicks require a straight lane and enough distance to extend fully.
She charges inside the kicking range.
Hansol tries to retreat.
NO… I CAN’T USE MY KICKS WHEN SHE’S THIS CLOSE!
Hanrim attacks with punches, elbows, knees, and body pressure.
She reasons that someone who mastered one notoriously difficult technique may still have trained almost exclusively in that style.
If he cannot create distance, the advantage collapses.
Strip 005 — Hansol reaches for a stun gun¶
Hanrim lands repeated heavy blows.
Hansol crashes into the floor.
The bound offender nearby believes the official TRPA has saved him.
Hansol pretends to be finished, then reaches behind him and takes a stun gun.
BUT WAIT!
I JUST SAW THIS HAPPEN…
Hanrim notices the movement.
WATCH OUT!
Hansol lunges and drives the device toward her.
The electric weapon arcs at close range.
Hanrim avoids a clean incapacitating hit and immediately counters.
The scene clarifies how Hansol was able to defeat Sera despite Sera’s superior physical strength: he was willing to use a concealed weapon once ordinary combat stopped working.
Strip 006 — Skill does not make the weapon honorable¶
Hanrim knocks the stun gun away and beats Hansol down again.
She says he is genuinely dangerous.
He possesses rare skill, yet still reached for a potentially deadly weapon simply because he wanted to win.
She asks whether that is how he took down Sera.
Hansol says the more he sees, the more disappointing the real TRPA becomes.
He points toward the restrained bully and complains that the agency is protecting “trash” while condemning the person who punished him.
WHAT EXACTLY DID I DO WRONG?

Strip 007 — Hanrim identifies self-satisfaction¶
Hanrim says bringing weapons into a fight between young people is not normal.
She accuses Hansol of chasing the thrill of punishment.
The TRPA name supplied a righteous story that allowed him to enjoy violence without calling it enjoyment.
Hansol rejects the accusation.
He remembers victims thanking him and insists that he was helping.
Hanrim says gratitude from terrified or desperate children does not authorize him to choose punishment privately.
The exchange ends with Hansol unable to distinguish helping a victim from possessing an offender.
Strip 008 — The victims surround the inspectors¶
As Hanrim prepares to take Hansol into custody, a large group appears at the doorway.
They are children and young people who say Hansol protected them after official systems failed.
Several are crying.
PLEASE LET HIM GO.
WE NEED HIM.
HE SAVED US.
Hansol looks toward the group, vindicated.
Hanrim looks back in surprise.
The problem is no longer only one violent vigilante. He has created a constituency of victims who believe arresting him means abandoning them to their abusers.
