Get Schooled — Chapter 225¶
Complete Detailed Panel-by-Panel Transcription¶
Scope¶
This transcription follows the 8 ordered long story strips embedded in the supplied Chapter 225 MHT, excluding its separate title/header image. Readable news captions, administrative documents, dialogue, staged intimidation, and criminal-case language are preserved where legible.
Content note¶
The chapter contains repeated experiential punishment, business intimidation, victim-blaming, physical provocation, and the transfer of a school-violence matter into juvenile criminal proceedings.
Strip 001 — The record becomes permanent¶
News coverage explains the growing effect of school-violence records on university admission.
In the previous year, dozens of applicants to major national universities were reportedly rejected because of prior school-violence measures.
Future admissions systems are expected to apply such history more consistently as a penalty factor.
The fathers therefore understand that the committee decision threatens more than a temporary classroom punishment.
Hanrim says the special education is a serious measure and will continue until the boys acknowledge that school violence occurred.
Sechang vows to resist at least until the administrative appeal or a settlement can erase the decision.
Sunghwan returns home covered in marker, bruises, and the residue of the staged “pranks.”
He asks his father to admit what happened and end the program.
Strip 002 — Sunghwan understands Giseok’s helplessness¶
Sunghwan says he feels guilty about Giseok.
Before the program, he regarded Giseok as easy to control and never considered how he felt.
As long as Sunghwan and his friends were entertained, the victim’s pain seemed irrelevant.
After experiencing choking, humiliation, and being unable to stop stronger people, he understands the disgust and helplessness that made Giseok stop attending school.
IT WAS MY FAULT, DAD.
He leaves to wash the writing from his face.
Sechang remains seated, confronted with remorse coming from the son he has spent years teaching never to concede.
Strip 003 — The administrative appeal is dismissed¶
A registered notice arrives.
The Gyeonggi-do education authority has dismissed the administrative appeal.
The document concludes that:
- the conduct constituted school violence rather than a joke;
- the committee considered witness testimony and investigation records;
- and Measures 5 and 7 were not an abuse of discretion.
The fathers return to school and formally admit that the conduct was school violence.
They accept the committee result and ask that the special education end.
Hanrim ends the program and confirms the class transfers.
Their admission is strategic rather than voluntary: now that the appeal has failed, denial can no longer reverse the measure.
Strip 004 — The school case ends, but the adult retaliation remains¶
Hanrim notes that the false sexual-harassment allegation against Giseok will likely be closed as a retaliatory accusation.
The fabricated criminal case against Giseok’s father is more difficult.
CCTV, photographs, and witness statements have been constructed to support trespassing, property damage, threats, and assault.
Ordinary legal disputes lie outside the TRPA’s direct authority.
Daniel says he already has a plan.
Outside the snack shop, students hesitate to enter because the online rumor still calls the owner’s son a sexual harasser.
Even after the agency clears Giseok, the false public reputation continues damaging the family.
Strip 005 — Park Heunam’s employees occupy the shop¶
Men employed by Park Heunam’s security company enter the tteokbokki shop.
They order one small plate and occupy tables for hours.
They eat painfully slowly, leave most of the food untouched, stare at other customers, and create an atmosphere that drives people away.
When the owner asks them to leave, one man smiles and says they will return tomorrow, the day after, and throughout the week.
Sechang and the other fathers arrive outside and praise the operation.
The intimidation is designed to remain technically deniable: the men are “customers,” yet the shop cannot function while they occupy it.
Strip 006 — The victim’s father is baited¶
Giseok’s father confronts the three men and asks whether they sent the employees.
The fathers say the school settlement is already over, but the committee record will permanently stain their children’s futures.
They ask how it feels to ruin someone else’s child.
Giseok’s father answers that their sons left emotional wounds that may never disappear.
Giseok still cannot attend school.
The fathers dismiss the trauma as weakness.
They say the record matters more than the victim’s continuing fear.
The argument becomes physical when one man seizes Giseok’s father by the collar.
The fathers want him to strike first so they can add another assault accusation.
Strip 007 — Daniel stops the planned provocation¶
Giseok’s father raises a fist.
Daniel catches the blow before it lands.
He says the confrontation was planned in advance.
The employees, taunts, and physical contact were designed to provoke violence and load more guilt onto the victim’s family.
Simple violence will not teach the fathers anything because they will interpret it only as proof that they were attacked.
A more sophisticated stimulus is needed.
The three boys suddenly appear in handcuffs beside Hanrim.
Their parents stare in horror.
Strip 008 — The matter becomes a juvenile criminal case¶
The fathers ask why their sons are restrained when the School Violence Committee has already finished.
Daniel explains that only the school disciplinary process ended.
The TRPA’s investigation determined that the severity, persistence, and criminal nature of the conduct justify referral beyond school measures.
The boys will enter a juvenile classification and assessment center and later receive protective dispositions through court.
Without settlement with the victim, entry into juvenile detention becomes increasingly likely.
Daniel asks whether a sincere settlement is possible in an environment where the parents still refuse to admit harm.
He ends with a Korean saying:
A CHILD’S SITUATION… IS AFFECTED BY THE PARENTS.
The chapter closes on Sechang’s face as he recognizes that the strategy used to protect his son may have made the eventual punishment far heavier.
Chapter-level continuity notes¶
Sunghwan changes before his father does¶
The experiential program creates genuine recognition in the child, but the parent keeps prioritizing the record.
Winning the administrative appeal was the fathers’ final school-based strategy¶
Once it fails, their admission cannot undo the permanent measure.
The intimidation of the shop is carefully deniable¶
Heunam’s men exploit customer status rather than openly announcing a blockade.
The boys’ criminal referral separates punishment systems¶
School measures address education and placement. Juvenile court addresses sustained conduct that may amount to crimes.
The parents are not passive background figures¶
Their retaliation, denial, and strategic teaching directly shape the court’s view of whether the boys can be corrected without confinement.
