Strip 001 — Sera finds the Busan branch chief¶
The chapter opens at a coastal loading area at night.
Gu Sera has located the heavyset bald man identified in the previous arc as Park Wonsul, chief of G.Y.’s Busan branch.
She has approached him without her usual school disguise and tells the surrounding men that she wants to return to the question she was asking.
One of the men suggests moving somewhere private.
Sera mocks them for believing a smaller woman will be easy to intimidate.
WANNA COME QUIETLY WITH ME, OR SHOULD I BEAT YOU HALF TO DEATH FIRST?
Wonsul’s men recognize that too many witnesses are nearby and move the confrontation to a more isolated part of the waterfront.
Sera says she needs only two answers.
The first is:
HOW DID YOU FIND ME?
Wonsul appears almost amused.
Strip 002 — Sera explains how she tracked him¶
Sera says the answer was obvious once she understood what kind of loan shark Wonsul was.
During the undercover investigation, she saw the luxury brands and exaggerated consumption surrounding the operation.
A large man with a conspicuous appearance, an expensive sports car, and people constantly moving around him was not difficult to identify.
She mentions hearing that a bald thug with the smell of boiled pork drove an exotic vehicle in the area.
The description is insulting, but it is also operationally accurate.
Her second question is:
WHERE’S NA HWAJIN?
Wonsul asks whether she is looking down on the Busan branch by coming alone.
He says the TRPA may be formidable, but sending one small woman against a branch chief is arrogant.
Sera smiles.
YOU WANNA SEE TEAM LEADER THAT BADLY?
DON’T WORRY. YOU’LL MEET HIM SOON ENOUGH.
She attacks.
Strip 003 — Wonsul proves he can fight¶
The first exchange surprises both sides.
Wonsul is not merely a wealthy organizer hiding behind subordinates.
He blocks, counters, and lands heavy blows.
Sera initially assumed that a person who relied on schemes, intimidation, and loan records would not be physically competent.
Instead, Wonsul says he is the strongest fighter in the organization beneath the imprisoned G.Y. boss.
He considers taking Sera hostage and using her to draw out Na Hwa-jin.
Sera is knocked down but immediately rises.

Wonsul says he originally had no interest in becoming G.Y.’s leader, but the current struggle leaves him no choice.
Elsewhere, Daniel Hyun attempts to contact Sera.
She does not answer.
He notices that the agency vehicle assigned to her has been damaged and wonders whether she is already fighting somewhere else.
Strip 004 — Daniel remembers the warning about Sera¶
Daniel recalls a conversation with Hanrim.
Hanrim said Sera is exceptionally good at undercover work because she understands the mindset of troublemakers.
That same confidence makes her dangerous operationally.
If she becomes emotionally committed to a victim, she may ignore a plan and act independently.
Daniel says he will keep the warning in mind.
Back at the waterfront, Sera chooses direct strength against Wonsul.
They exchange heavy punches at close range.
Wonsul’s subordinates cannot believe a woman is meeting him head-on.
One man says Wonsul should not lose a contest of raw power.
Another admits that they cannot know for certain and calls someone for reinforcements.
Strip 005 — The original surveillance plan¶
Sera grapples with Wonsul and says she expected a manipulator rather than a capable fighter.
Wonsul boasts that he has brains in addition to muscle.
The chapter briefly reveals the TRPA’s original plan.
Police had tracked the criminal group’s vehicle.
Sera had planted or recovered a GPS tracker connected to the car while it was at a department store in Haeundae.
She asked Daniel why they should not arrest the group immediately.
Daniel said the Busan members had lost funding and would probably retreat with whatever money remained.
If the car left Busan, there was a good chance it would lead toward G.Y.’s headquarters or another senior branch.
The team therefore intended to watch their movements for several days rather than strike at once.
Sera initially accepted the plan.
Strip 006 — The sports car changes her mind¶
Sera sees Wonsul’s yellow sports car in the parking structure.
The vehicle makes her furious.
She thinks about how many people were financially ruined to purchase luxury brands and cars.
Memories of desperate borrowers and victims flood back:
- people threatened over escalating debt;
- people humiliated by collectors;
- and people who considered ending their lives after days of relentless pressure.
She cannot tolerate allowing the men to move freely for several more days simply to produce a better lead.
WHAT AM I THINKING?
She decides to beat the location of the G.Y. headquarters out of them directly.
Her fists tighten.
Strip 007 — Wonsul blames the borrowers¶
Sera returns to the fight with renewed violence.
She says she wants to keep hitting Wonsul until his eyes pop out.
Wonsul recognizes that Na Hwa-jin is not present and accuses her of going rogue.
YOU DIDN’T GET ANY ORDERS TO DO THIS, DID YOU?
He says the borrowers are the fools who dug their own graves by accepting the money.
He refuses responsibility for what happened after they borrowed.
The answer enrages Sera further.
She drives him backward with repeated punches while his subordinates watch in horror.
Strip 008 — Wonsul is thrown into the water¶
Sera overwhelms Wonsul at the edge of the pier.
The final exchange sends the massive branch chief over the barrier and into the dark water.
His subordinates cry out:
B-BOSS!
WE NEED TO GET HIM OUT!
Wonsul surfaces but cannot swim properly with his injured arms.
He calls for help from below.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GET ME OUT OF HERE!
He accuses Sera of trying to become a murderer.
Sera looks down without sympathy.
GET YOU OUT OF THERE?
