Strips 001–004 — Secretary Kim buys time with a gun¶
The chapter resumes inside the building where Na Hwa-jin has captured Ji Yoon-kyeol.
Secretary Kim has recovered enough to point a handgun at Na from close range.
LET GO OF THE YOUNG MASTER AT ONCE.
Na recognizes that the weapon is real and that Secretary Kim understands firearms well enough not to miss at the short distance.
Kim says his mission is not personal.
I REMAIN FAITHFUL TO THE YOUNG MASTER’S FAMILY.
He begins counting and gives Na three seconds to release Ji Yoon-kyeol.
Na holds Ji but does not rush the gunman.
At “two,” Park Mari emerges from hiding.
Secretary Kim orders Ji and Mari into the elevator and gives them the car keys from his pocket.
Ji asks what will happen to the secretary.
Kim says that if he takes his eyes off Na even briefly, Ji will be captured again instantly.
SO HURRY!
The elevator closes with Ji and Mari inside.
Once the car escapes the underground garage, Secretary Kim keeps the gun trained on Na.
He expects Na to vent his anger on the person left behind.
Na refuses to waste time interrogating someone whose loyalty is strong enough to withstand torture.
RATHER THAN WASTING TIME HERE, IT’D BE BETTER TO HURRY AND TRACK DOWN THAT CAR.
He tells Kim they will settle the debt later and leaves.
The secretary collapses to one knee, injured and exhausted but successful in buying the escape.
Strip 005 — The car trail ends¶
Police locate Ji Yoon-kyeol’s car through its plate number.
The vehicle has already been abandoned on a road without CCTV coverage.
Investigators believe Ji switched into another car at that point.
The immediate pursuit produces only limited results.
News reports announce arrests connected to G.Y.’s Busan loan-sharking branch, and that part of the operation is formally concluded.
Back at the agency, Na admits the escape was his mistake.
The team did not return empty-handed, but the person directing G.Y.’s consolidation remains free.
Strips 006–007 — Ji Yoon-kyeol’s chaebol connection¶
Na researches the professional bodyguard and the family behind him.
A fighter as skilled and loyal as Secretary Kim would not be kept on permanent retainer by an ordinary household.
Ji is an uncommon surname among the country’s most powerful business and political families.
One family fits the available clues:
TAESEOK GROUP
The conglomerate is described as a major real-estate and construction chaebol, ranked approximately sixteenth in the business world.
Its late founder was Ji Taeseok.
The company is also known for unusually active political lobbying.
Na concludes that Ji Yoon-kyeol is likely connected to that family, explaining:
- the professional bodyguard;
- the money available to G.Y.;
- the sophisticated escape arrangements;
- and Ji’s confidence that ordinary law can be manipulated.
A flashback shows Ji Yoon-kyeol arriving at a formal family residence while servants greet him as “young master.”
Na says Jung Wonsul’s testimony alone will not easily connect the conglomerate to G.Y.
The agency needs evidence stronger than the word of an arrested branch chief.
Strips 007–009 — G.Y.’s surviving members turn against Ji¶
The chapter moves to prison.
A blue-haired G.Y. team leader, Seo Seungcheol, speaks with the imprisoned founder Jo Gyuchul and other captured members.
They have heard that:
- the Busan branch was destroyed;
- branch chiefs were trapped and burned;
- and Ji Yoon-kyeol arranged the operation while using Na Hwa-jin as the visible attacker.
Jo Gyuchul is furious.
He says he always knew Ji was untrustworthy.
His concern is not merely that Ji plans to absorb the organization.
Jo had issued an order to kill Na Hwa-jin.
That order has not been fulfilled.
The other prisoner points out that Ji is effectively acting as the boss now and would have little reason to obey a jailed leader.
Jo refuses to accept the loss of authority.
WHETHER JI YOON-KYEOL GOBBLES MY ORGANIZATION OR NOT, I DON’T CARE!

He calls for Gyuchul or another trusted person and begins considering how to regain control before Ji eliminates every member loyal to the old leadership.
Strips 010–011 — A child dies during a field trip¶
The story abruptly shifts to a hospital emergency room.
A child named Lee Youngjun is rushed inside after a field-trip accident.
Doctors attempt resuscitation.
The displayed time is approximately 14:37.
Youngjun is pronounced dead.
His mother collapses over the body and screams at the supervising teacher.
WHAT WERE YOU DOING, TEACHER?
YOU KILLED MY CHILD!
The teacher stands frozen, unable to answer.
A later criminal trial finds him guilty of negligent homicide committed during the performance of his duties.
The court says that supervising and ensuring student safety during a field trip was his responsibility.
The sentence is:
TWO YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT
Execution is suspended for two years after the judgment becomes final.
The teacher hears the ruling as a total moral judgment.

Unlike earlier villains, the supervising teacher did not intend harm. The legal question is whether one adult can be criminally responsible for an unforeseeable accident while supervising many children.
