Reader page 2 — Lim’s size becomes the first challenge¶
Kang Soo-yeon stands over Lim and asks:
“WHAT DID YOU SAY JUST NOW…?”
“YOU SAID I’M SMALL?”
Lim grips a mop or pole and looks up without intimidation.
Soo-yeon asks whether that is how Lim treats her coach—or even how she speaks to a person’s face.
The student gives a superficial apology.
“AMONG THE BASKETBALL LEADERS, I’VE NEVER SEEN SOMEONE THIS SMALL BEFORE. I MADE A SLIP OF THE TONGUE.”
She immediately adds:
“BUT CAN YOU HANDLE US WITH THAT PHYSIQUE OF YOURS?”
The team’s respect is explicitly tied to size and physical hierarchy.
Reader pages 3–4 — Lim gives one warning¶
Lim acknowledges that the players may be suspicious of a small female coach.
She says she understands the instinct to test a leader.
Then she clarifies:
“THERE WON’T BE A SECOND TIME.”
The page is dominated by a sudden physical exchange. Lim closes the distance, seizes the student, and puts her on the floor with a joint lock or takedown.
The student’s expression changes from mockery to shock.
Lim has answered the physique challenge without giving a speech about her background.
Reader page 5 — Eun-ha is kept away from basketball¶
Practice begins.
Most of the team shoots and runs drills.
Lim notices Eun-ha alone at the side, repeatedly practicing footwork without a ball.
“WHY ARE YOU THERE PRACTICING YOUR STEPS WHEN THE REST ARE PRACTICING SHOOTING?”
Lim orders her back onto the court.
Reader page 6 — The captain invokes the old coach’s authority¶
Soo-yeon tells Lim to leave Eun-ha alone.
“THIS WAS THE COACH’S SPECIAL ORDER.”
She claims Eun-ha lacks stamina and was assigned isolated step practice for a full week.
Lim points out the contradiction.
Eun-ha can perform footwork for more than an hour without a break, while the players shooting a few times are already drinking water in the corner.
“I THINK YOU GUYS NEED MORE PHYSICAL TRAINING?”
Lim tells the others to get onto the court quickly.
Reader pages 7–8 — What a substitute coach can supervise¶
Soo-yeon says the training system was created by the coach and herself.
She accuses Lim of interfering and ruining the team atmosphere.
Lim asks whether Soo-yeon knows what “substitute coach” means.
A substitute exercises the coach’s supervisory power.
“IT MEANS, I’M JUST THE SAME AS THE COACH.”
Changing training and stopping harmful routines are therefore within Lim’s authority.
She tells Eun-ha to come over and says she will pass her the ball.
Reader pages 9–10 — Eun-ha’s ability becomes visible¶
Lim feeds Eun-ha the ball.
Eun-ha moves, receives, and shoots.
The panels emphasize controlled footwork and a clean release.
Lim says:
“YOU’RE GOOD.”
The captain’s expression tightens.
The team had spent months constructing Eun-ha as a useless player, but one ordinary basketball possession disproves the narrative.
Lim asks what is wrong and whether the captain is surprised.
Reader page 11 — Ja-yeon attacks Eun-ha¶
Ja-yeon rushes toward Eun-ha in fury.
“ARE YOU CRAZY? YOU FUCKING BITCH?”
She says her sister clearly ordered Eun-ha not to touch the ball.
She accuses Eun-ha of whining and breaking the team’s rule.
The confrontation shows that exclusion itself has become a privilege the sisters believe they own.
Reader pages 12–13 — Soo-yeon offers a bargain¶
Soo-yeon approaches Eun-ha with false softness.
“EUNHA, IT’S HARD RIGHT?”
She says that as captain she had many worries when Eun-ha tried to speak to reporters.
Then she offers a deal:
“PROMISE ME YOU WON’T TELL ANYONE WHAT HAPPENED…”
“AND NO ONE WILL BOTHER YOU IN CLASSROOM.”
The bargain reveals that the captain fully understands the abuse and can stop it whenever she chooses.
Eun-ha’s internal narration says that moments earlier, the issue was no longer basketball.
“IT WAS MY LIFE THAT WAS ABOUT TO END.”
The offer therefore asks her to trade truth for temporary survival.
Reader pages 14–15 — Lim catches the team in the act¶
The team surrounds Eun-ha in a closed or isolated area.
Soo-yeon orders someone to close the door.
The players move as a coordinated group rather than independent bullies.
A startled voice cries:
“CAP… CAPTAIN!”
Lim appears and demands:
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?”
The door that was supposed to hide the punishment instead frames the substitute coach witnessing it.
Reader page 16 — “We were just joking”¶
Lim orders:
“EVERYBODY, SIT DOWN!”
The team scrambles to obey.
Soo-yeon tries to minimize the scene:
“DON’T BE SO SERIOUS. WE WERE JUST JOKING.”
The explanation repeats the logic used in other arcs: violence becomes harmless “play” only after an adult sees it.
Reader page 17 — The captain claims disciplinary authority¶
Soo-yeon says she only wanted to scare Eun-ha because the girl would not speak.
She describes controlling members as her authority as captain.
“IT’S MY AUTHORITY AS CAPTAIN TO ESTABLISH DISCIPLINE AMONG THE MEMBERS…”
She asks the acting coach to tell them what is right.
Lim responds physically.
A sharp impact folds Soo-yeon or drives her backward. The captain cannot finish converting abuse into legitimate team discipline.
Lim addresses her as a thin or arrogant girl and reminds her that she had already been warned.
Reader page 18 — No restraint the second time¶
Lim stands over the shocked players.
“I CLEARLY TOLD YOU, RIGHT?”
“I WON’T HOLD BACK THE SECOND TIME.”
The chapter ends with Lim’s authority established and the team’s private punishment system exposed.

Chapter-level observations¶
1. The team mistakes height for authority¶
Soo-yeon’s first challenge focuses on Lim’s body rather than qualifications. Lim immediately demonstrates that physical appearance does not determine control.
2. The old coach’s “special order” institutionalized exclusion¶
Eun-ha was not merely ignored by teammates. Her separation was incorporated into official training language.
3. One pass disproves months of propaganda¶
The sisters’ system depends on no one seeing Eun-ha play. Lim’s simplest intervention is to give her the ball.
4. Soo-yeon knows the abuse is optional¶
Her bargain proves she can stop the classroom harassment. She preserves it because silence benefits her.
5. “Captain’s discipline” is the core ideological defense¶
Soo-yeon does not deny using fear. She claims fear is part of leadership. Lim’s intervention rejects the premise before the team can normalize it again.
