Strip 001 — Cover¶
The red-and-black Imperfect Comics cover identifies Chapter 38. Na Hwa-jin appears on the title card, though the chapter itself centers on Lim Han-rim.
Strip 002 — Site notice and warning¶
An orange notice asks readers to use the scanlation group’s site. A black warning follows.
Strip 003 — Lim’s second warning¶
Lim Han-rim stands in the team room wearing a white athletic jacket over a black crop top and black trousers. Her long red hair frames a calm, predatory smile.
She looks down at the basketball players.
“DIDN’T I TELL YOU?”
“I WON’T HOLD BACK THE SECOND TIME.”
A bruised captain or senior player stares up from the floor. Lim adds:
“DIDN’T I ALSO TELL YOU?”
The surrounding team begins closing in, relying on numbers.
Strip 004 — The team attacks together¶
Several players rush Lim simultaneously.
A taunt overlays the charge:
“WITH THAT PHYSIQUE OF YOURS”
“YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO HANDLE US”
Lim remains motionless until the last moment. Her expression suggests she expected the coordinated attack.
Strip 005 — Lim dismantles the group¶
Lim drops or throws one player hard enough to crack the floor visually. Another teammate bends over the fallen girl, checking her.
A player asks:
“UH… UH?”
The team’s confidence begins to collapse as they realize Lim is physically far beyond them.
Strip 006 — “You thought we wouldn’t do this”¶
A brown-haired senior and Soo-yeon flank Lim.
“YOU THOUGHT WE WOULDN’T DO THIS, DIDN’T YOU?”
Lim pivots through the attack. She uses one opponent’s momentum against the others, sending bodies across the room with sweeping motion lines.
“THAT’S WHY YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE ACTED UP!”
The line comes from the attacking players, but the image immediately reverses its intended meaning: Lim is the one controlling the exchange.
Strip 007 — Total defeat¶
Lim completes the sequence with a violent strike or throw. A player’s head snaps back, mouth open, and another collapses beside her.
The red-haired inspector stands over the group without visible damage.
Strip 008 — New authority¶
Lim approaches a bruised player sprawled on the ground.
“FROM NOW ON…”
She grips or controls the player’s face.
“FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS.”
The team’s hierarchy has been broken physically. Soo-yeon is no longer the unquestioned center of authority.
Strip 009 — Ending compulsory dormitory life¶
Lim addresses the full team while holding a long metal training bar across her shoulders.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING? IF YOU’RE DONE PACKING, GO HOME.”
A player protests:
“ACTING COACH… THE SUMMER COMPETITION IS COMING UP…”
Lim explains:
“EVEN IF YOU DON’T STAY TOGETHER, A GOOD TEAM WILL STILL BE GOOD.”
“EVIL STARTS BY STAYING TOGETHER IN ALL SPORTS CLUBS.”
She argues that compulsory group residence allows abusive seniority systems to grow out of sight.
Strip 010 — The policy was already banned¶
Lim continues outside or near the gym entrance:
“IT’S BANNED BY THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE, SPORTS AND TOURISM BUT THIS SCHOOL DID WHATEVER IT WANTED.”
“JUST SO YOU KNOW, EVEN AT THE OLYMPICS THEY DON’T STAY TOGETHER!”
Behind her, players carry bags away from the dormitory.
Soo-yeon watches with a furious expression. The change removes one of the main mechanisms through which she and Ja-yeon controlled younger teammates.
Strip 011 — Soo-yeon lashes out¶
Soo-yeon confronts the remaining players.
“HAVE YOU FUCKERS GONE CRAZY THESE DAYS?”
“YOUR ATTITUDE THESE DAYS IS SHIT. IS IT FUN NOT LIVING TOGETHER?”
A teammate thinks or says:
“CRAZY… IT WASN’T LIKE THIS BEFORE…”
Soo-yeon slaps or strikes a player for not concentrating.
“FOCUSING WHEN YOUR SUNBAE’S TALKING? YOU BITCH!”
She orders:
“GATHER THE TEAM MEMBERS!”
Her need to reassert dominance becomes increasingly desperate.
Strip 012 — Practice begins¶
The women’s team runs through a basketball practice. Players collide, dribble, and fall. Soo-yeon drives aggressively and treats the scrimmage as another opportunity to intimidate juniors.
A hand grabs a teammate’s wrist or uniform amid the motion.
Strip 013 — Lim corrects the hierarchy¶
A player apologizes after a collision:
“CAPTAIN, SORRY.”
Another asks:
“ARE YOU ALRIGHT?”
Lim interrupts:
“HEY, WHAT ARE YOU SORRY FOR?”
“IT WAS AN OPENING FOUL. IT WAS THE CAPTAIN’S FAULT.”
She tells the younger player:
“YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE WARY OF THE SUNBAE DURING PRACTICE.”
“USE YOUR SKILLS TO THE FULLEST!”
Lim refuses to let the team’s seniority system distort the actual rules of basketball.
Strip 014 — Eun-ha’s hidden ability¶
Lim turns toward the group:
“BUT YOU GUYS ARE REALLY FUNNY.”
“YOU CAN PLAY MAN TO MAN WITH THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY TEAM BUT WHY CAN’T YOU TOUCH THE BALL FROM HER?”
The target is Park Eun-ha. During the next play she slips through defenders and controls the ball with ease.
The team’s past treatment of her can no longer be justified by claiming she lacks talent.
Strip 015 — A staged photograph¶
In a quieter room, a teammate or Ja-yeon photographs Soo-yeon’s bruised face. A photo-editing program enlarges and darkens the marks.
“WOAH~ YOU’RE GOOD! IT LOOKS PERFECT?”
The editor praises the manipulated image.
“DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I’VE BEEN USING BYULSTA?”
“YOU GOT 200,000 LIKES, THANKS TO ME.”
The sisters’ social-media expertise is turned into a weapon against Lim.
Strip 016 — The fabricated accusation goes online¶
A close-up of the edited bruise appears on Byeolgram.
The poster writes that she is afraid of what pain will come tomorrow and that she may not be able to hold on.
“I’M GOING TO EXPOSE EVERYTHING!”
Comments immediately react:
- “OUR POOR UNNIE…”
- “GOSH, WHAT IS THIS”
- “WHO DID THIS TO OUR GODDESS??”
Other anonymous posts claim that the new coach attacked the captain after the captain objected to strange training.
One commenter says:
“THE TEACHER’S RIGHT PROTECTION AGENCY IS URGENTLY NEEDED”
The irony is that the acting coach is herself an agency inspector.
Strip 017 — News coverage begins¶
Online gossip spreads. A video host, Bom So-hee, appears with sunglasses and an exaggerated greeting:
“HELLO~ I’M BOM SO-HEE~”
She introduces a controversy involving the Seungyeon High School women’s basketball team.
The report claims that the new acting coach is in conflict with captain Kang Soo-yeon during the regular coach’s absence and that Soo-yeon has been assaulted several times.
A phone shows the Byeolgram post attributed to Ja-yeon or the sisters.
Strip 018 — Viral outrage¶
A student watches the news on a phone.
“GOSH~ JA-YEON IS THIS REAL?”
The report says the post is spreading rapidly and that netizens are attempting to identify the acting coach.
A smiling student or online investigator says:
“LET’S SEE, YOU CRAZY BITCH!”
The crowd moves from concern to doxxing almost instantly.
Strip 019 — The first reversal¶
The news presenter announces:
“BUT THERE’S A TWIST HERE!”
An anonymous informant releases Kang Ja-yeon’s private messages.
The chat log includes abuse directed at Eun-ha:
“DID YOU DO THE FUCKING LAUNDRY? IT SMELLS LIKE YOUR CROTCH, YOU BITCH!”
“SHOULD I SEND THIS TO YOUR MOM? HEHEHEHEHEHE”
“YOU’RE DEAD IF YOU GET CAUGHT IN THE DORMS!”
“THE FIRST YEARS SAID THAT YOU LOOK FUCKING UGLY. YOU’RE THE BITCH THAT GETS BULLIED BY HER JUNIORS HEHEHEHEHE”
“I FEEL SORRY FOR WHOEVER GAVE BIRTH TO YOU HEHEHEHE”
The report notes that the messages contain severe family insults and swearing.
A graphic designer also demonstrates that the bruise photograph was fabricated or digitally manipulated.
Ja-yeon’s expression changes from smugness to terror.
Strip 020 — The second reversal: Lim’s identity¶
The report says Ja-yeon is now being accused as a perpetrator of school violence.
Another twist follows: the acting coach is actually a female supervisor from the Teacher’s Rights Protection Agency, dispatched to investigate violence at the school. Her face had been concealed in the report because she was attached to an active case.
Ja-yeon turns and sees Lim approaching.
“WHAT IS THIS…?”
Lim holds up a photograph or phone showing the evidence.
“AREN’T WE LOOKING AT THE SAME THING?”
“I DON’T NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT THEN.”
The public narrative Ja-yeon tried to create has been turned back on her.
Strip 021 — “Miss school bully”¶
Lim smiles while Ja-yeon recoils.
“YOU WANT TO SEE ME, RIGHT?”
“MISS SCHOOL BULLY.”
The chapter ends with Lim confronting the person who attempted to weaponize public sympathy against her.

Chapter-level observations¶
1. Lim attacks the infrastructure of abuse¶
She does not merely punish individual players. She ends compulsory dormitory living, rejects seniority during practice, and gives younger players permission to perform without deference.
2. The sisters’ public influence is part of their power¶
The fabricated photograph works initially because Soo-yeon’s celebrity image primes followers to defend her. The same network turns violently against Ja-yeon once contrary evidence appears.
3. The online crowd is not presented as justice¶
Netizens move directly from sympathy to doxxing and death threats. The chapter treats viral outrage as unstable and easily manipulated, even when it lands on a genuine perpetrator.
4. Lim’s final line reframes the accusation¶
Ja-yeon attempted to portray Lim as an abusive coach. Lim arrives with evidence that the “victim” is a school bully, forcing the case back onto the actual pattern of violence.
