Opening — The gang underestimates Lim

The armed men mock Lim Han-rim and make sexual comments, assuming she has been left behind as an easy target.

One member warns the others that she served in the 707th Special Mission Group, an elite special-forces unit.

A large fighter is introduced as Kim Dae-yu, the Taecheon gang’s number two.

He says he served in the Marines and dismisses the special-forces reputation.

The men are ordered to show no mercy and use their knives.

Lim smiles.

“YOU GUYS AREN’T LOOKING DOWN ON ME JUST BECAUSE I’M A GIRL. I LIKE IT~”

She corrects their assumption:

“I AM NOT JUST BETTER THAN YOU GUYS.”

“I’M ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL FROM YOU GUYS!”

Lim defeats the knife group

The gang rushes her from several directions.

Lim notices their mistakes immediately.

People attacking from behind make noise, crowd one another, telegraph their movement, and rely on the knife to compensate for poor fundamentals.

She strikes joints, knees, wrists, and pressure points while using the attackers against one another.

The men are shocked by her speed, accuracy, and confidence.

Dae-yu acknowledges that he has spent years around violence but has never seen anyone handle knives so cleanly.

“A civil servant can’t kill”

Dae-yu believes he has found her limit.

Not because she is a woman, but because she is a civil servant.

She has disarmed the gang rather than killing them. He assumes that means she cannot create genuine fear.

Lim asks whether he really wants to test that belief.

She describes overseas deployments and asks whether he knows how many heads left shoulders during those missions.

She mentions a secret authorization resembling a “license to kill” for the 707 unit and says she may need to write apology letters after the present fight.

The gang panics and tries to flee.

Lim then laughs at them for believing her.

“AM I JAMES BOND OR SOMETHING?”

She says she struck them with the backs of the blades and criticizes how quickly alleged gangsters change sides when shown strength.

Interrogation choices

Lim prepares to question the captured men.

She says the owner of the gambling site will be exposed whether they cooperate or not.

They have three choices:

  1. Snitch.
  2. Get hit.
  3. Get hit and then snitch.

The men observe that none of the choices is attractive.

Na pursues Lee Jung-hyuk

Meanwhile, Jung-hyuk runs through the district with Na close behind.

He has remarkable reflexes and movement ability. Na asks whether he trained in a sport.

Jung-hyuk mocks Na for leaving Lim behind and says the gang must already be cutting her apart.

Na finds the concern amusing.

A person who worries about Lim’s safety against ordinary gangsters does not understand the situation.

A stronger fighter appears

Na’s pursuit brings him into contact with another high-level fighter associated with the area.

The exchange is fast and heavy enough to surprise both sides.

An observer describes the confrontation as Incheon’s top fist against an elite special-forces inspector.

Na does not immediately chase every fleeing member. His real target is the person behind the distributor.

At the same time, former Guwon students move toward the G.Y headquarters to settle their own debt with the organization.

The chapter closes as multiple confrontations converge.

Chapter-level observations

Lim’s refusal to kill is interpreted as weakness until she makes clear that restraint is a choice.

2. Her “license” story is psychological warfare

The bluff defeats several men before another strike becomes necessary.

3. Na recognizes Jung-hyuk’s specialized movement

The distributor is not merely an internet recruiter; he possesses athletic or combat training useful for escape.

4. The investigation is moving upward

Lim can obtain local testimony, while Na uses the branch confrontation to reach the hidden leader.
