Seongja kim

Seongja Kim is a major antagonist in season 1 of Get Schooled. A con man who is the leader of the cult of the Seongja Church, and calls himself a saint, the son of God. He exploits and abuses believers' money, and teaches children who believe in his religion at alternative schools.

Nothing is known of his past but has been doing his schemes for 14 years.

Was first seen letting his men beat Sohyeon as she wanted her child to go outside for school. He pressured her while using her child who was brainwashed to do so.

He appears wanting Juhui to massage and talk to her while touching her hand.

Then he appears eating dinner with Juhui but suspects she is finding help. So he gives her dog food as her brother ate it instead. He threatens her to stop before leaving. While doing a senance, Hanlim arrives. He calmed his believers and let her in. Hanlim was inspecting his church and found him against a regular school suspicious. So he showed her their alternate school far away in which everything seems fine until a girl, who was forced to remember her lines, messed up, giving her a horrible glare. However, he lets it go and covers it up.

When Juhui exposes everything, Seongja calls her unstable but she also reveals him to be a pervert and the true devil. Which he beats in anger but was retaliated by Hanlim. In response, he calls it a holy war and tells his believers to kill them. They all failed as was held by the throat but calls upon the children through verses to kill and capture them. Once captured, he attempted to grope Hanlim but stops when she saw through it. He forces her to sign a resignation letter to TRPA but she refuses.

So he lynch Juhui instead of Hanlim using everyone, including her family as they beat her. Hanlim gives in as he gives her a pen but it was a trick as he got stabbed in the neck and held hostage. Was held hostage for almost to evening until Juhui went to a hospital safely. Then she releases him but beats him brutally. He escapes and uses the children again but Hanlim disable their weapons. He runs but falls and sees Hwajin, thinking he was his savior from god. Was knocked out by Hwajin.

He was captured but refuse to disband his cult. Hwajin and Hanlim use a loophole via resigning and he is beaten by Hanlim and he gives. The next day, he disbands the cult in the "proper way" but the followers protest and was almost lynch until Juhui stops them. Soon after, he was arrested. A few months later, a trial is held for him as he used his extorted money for top lawyers but were bested by the TRPA and is imprisoned. Some of his followers protest for his releasement.
